Some people ask why Denerau and why the Sofitel again. It’s an easy answer. A holiday for me is a 5 star drop and flop with options. This is our 5th visit and it just never fails to impress. We choose the Waitui adults only section. High high standards of hospitality are delivered by staff consistently, and the surroundings/the property reflects the same commitment. Rooms: clean, comfortable and well appointed. Housekeeping is excellent. Facilities: Waitui is just a slice of quiet heaven with many little extras that adds to its ambience. Pools are huge with plenty of loungers. Family pools look like a lot of fun and are always full of laughter and happy kids. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Food: lots of restaurants to choose from. My two personal favourites -Waitui restaurant does fantastic steaks, 5 star service and food. Madame So (Vietnamese) also excellent. Staff: this is this resorts shining star. Each and every person goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They quickly learn your name and the things you like. Coming back and seeing many of the same staff tells me they are generally happy to work there and this shines through. They always say staff are greatest asset and this is very true of this resort. The fire show was magnificent. Finally the options: Port Denerau is so close. All island tours are available from there. The Port also offers other dining experiences. It’s easily accessible by the Bula bus. Totally recommend - you won’t be disappointed. We’ve had another amazing holiday and leave fully refreshed. Sota Tale Fiji and Sofitel. We will be back. ❤️

The Sofitel in Fiji is such a beautiful resort, so clean and picturesque everywhere you look, everyone is so genuinely friendly and eager to assist you with your every need, special mention to Mary who works in the waitui private beach club, she is an absolute ray of sunshine and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing her every day! We can’t wait to visit again soon.

Stayed in this hotel over New Years and loved the experience. Family friendly with multiple restaurants to choose from. Buffet Breakfast exceptional with great choice. Complimentary pillow upgrade service was a nice surprise addition, Merewalesi was friendly and helpful. Would recommend a stay here.

4 day couple escape

Fantastic 4 day escape. Venaka to all of the Sofitel Fiji team. Recommend the Beach Club for adults only time and a quieter pool. Shout out to Mary at the Beach Club for her warm friendly greeting each morning. And to Eppas service at Koko, fantastic food here! Also thanks to Dorothy for a beautiful back massage at the Salon. Happy New Year to all of your beautiful Sofitel family.
