Merewalesi and Nasau at the sleep shop were amazing! We went twice just to try out pillows. Stay was amazing and the pool was so lovely. Staff is great.

The best in Denarau for families

We have stayed at the majority of Denarau resorts over the years and I believe this to be the best for young families. The kids club is an absolute stand out. There is a large dedicated children’s area is packed with outdoor activities such as splash zone, zip line, trampoline, play equipment and the indoor space is great for crafts/movies. The silent night time activities were awesome- with the kids donning headphones with LEDs to have discos and watch movies while not disturbing other guests. The kids club team were very attentive to the children and we felt reassured that their physical and emotional safety were paramount. The pool area has quite a few shallow options for younger children and two slides, which for our little ones, was a fan favourite. Our consensus is that when we return to Fiji with our children, Sofitel is where we will rebook.

Great relaxing time

This was our second visit to the Sofitel in Denerau, and have just spent 5 nights there for Christmas! The adults Waitui Beach Club is very beautiful and the staff are so friendly and wonderful. It was awesome, clean pool, great food, rooms were lovely, loved the turndown service and Xmas present. We booked a room with beach club access…..loved the canapés, bubbles and shots, something different every hour. Heading back next year!

Great Summer Christmas Experience

Great place and family friendly. All staff were very friendly, especially to the children. From feeding fish to kids zone all were great. Breakfast was awesome, with a nice selection of multiple food type, steak, fish, pancakes, etc. huge pool with kid slides and obstacles courses. special shout out to Merewalesi in the pillow selection room and Savi (or Sabi) feeding fish and helping around the pool. Both very kind, informative and shared a little local knowledge. We hope to visit again soon!

Great staff, poor premium experience

The staff are great, friendly and always with a smile, very helpful. Food is typical Fiji, bland and not particularly interesting. Pizzas were a decent option but for some reason was drenched in oil. Breakfast got abit repetitive after just 3 nights, I can't imagine staying longer. I guess you could catch the bula bus to eat outside for more variety and better value. The pool, slide and inflatable obstacle is great. Kids had hours of fun there. The hotel however needs to review its policies as they do not fit what I expect a Sofitel level of brand should provide. These are all minor on their own but together, they nickel and dime alot of things that make the experience less of a premium resort. 1) kids club is in 3 hr slots, and is pay per use (about $30FJD). Meals are not provided. For this hotel's price point I would expect at least the kids club to be included. 2) not enough activiites. i understand some activites you need to charge a fee but the free included kids activites are fairly lame. Some of the adult activites looked good, e.g. cocktail class, rum tasting class, but its limited to 10pax per day. For such a large resort they could run at least a larger session or multiple sessions. It was mostly booked out by morning of the activity. The fitness classes looked good, pliates, boxfit, walking. 3 nights was enough as there was little to do at the resort. 3) there is a pillow menu as you would expect at a premium resort. But never have i had to pay a deposit for a borrowed pillow, let alone needing to physically return the pillow to the pillow store so the deposit can be taken off the bill. 4) at least every 1 in 3 pool towels was stained. And I was asked my room number when getting towels in the morning (they would mark how many towels were taken against a guest list) and asked to return the towels when finished. Again, not the usual premium resort experience.
