On way there no problems, polite, helpful staff. NOT the case on way back Friday 26/8. Rude unhelpful staff, who wanted to charge one of us for drink, but with no price list. When asked apparently the price list is private and no receipt could be provided! Screams out that someone on the make. Also staff entered one of the rooms while we loading cars and hadn’t even checked out which is totally unacceptable. So unfortunately you missed out on 14 breakfast on Saturday 27/8 as we all went elsewhere. I know this is a budget hotel but don’t expect to be shouted at when we are paying customers. Would like to speak to someone about having some money refunded and some of your staff need to be trained in customer services and also conveniently don’t understand English which is not what is advertised! Very bad experience and definitely not happy.

The Ibis Budget Hotel offered a secure nights accommodation at a very reasonable rate. The reception staff were professional and friendly. The room was as expected, clean and very basic. The immediate area is reasonably safe but when I walked into the centre I did feel a little intimidated by a couple of groups of homeless alcoholics/drug users. To avoid them use public transport or cabs if you need to go to the centre of town.

Hotel location is quite far from the Clermont Ferrand city center. Easy check-in and check-out. My room faced a cemetery. I had booked the buffet breakfast but it was too basic and not worth to pay for it.

Great value for money. Clean and comfortable. Close to city centre. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast provided was basic (cereals, pastries & bread) - at an extra charge. Would have been nice to have had the options of porridge and bacon & eggs too.

A decent hotel that provides good value for money. Nothing is exceptionally good and nothing is really bad. Make sure to remember the code to the front door! Check in is efficient and the breakfast is quite boring but again the value for money is good.
