Dirty, bad account management

We booked room and added breakfast for 3 people. Received email advising there was booking for 6 for breakfast on account, I replied correcting booking and requested refund was advised no refund only room credit would be issued despite this being their error. On arrival I requested refund again and was advised that the room now had payment for 9 breakfasts on account I once again asked that my bank be credited as this was not done at my request, reception staff member credited my account. When we checked into the room it was not cleaned properly, a sock was found by the window, mould in the bathroom and what appeared to be blood stains on a pillow case.

Dated rooms but friendly staff and a decent location

Stayed for a single night before a morning flight. Very friendly staff. We had food from the bar menu. Was modest but decent other than the $26 “braised beef pie” that was a simple rectangle supermarket pie that you would be disappointed to buy from a petrol station let alone a four star hotel. The room was spacious but dated. Quite inferior compared to the Novatel Newcastle which we had stayed in the night before. I would stay here again as it was a reasonable price, however would describe the hotel more like a three star than four star until the rooms are refurbished.

Convenient but pricey option at Sydney international airport. Excellent comfortable beds. We had a double/double room on the 4th floor, with early checkin applied it cost in excess of $400 for one night. The breakfast was very nice, with all of the standard items, and the 2 x juice machines were a bonus. Dinner at the bar was disappointing. While the prices were very good, the food quality was not. Much better option, in hindsight, would have been the restaurant. Convenience of the hotel, kind of traded off the expense.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times, definitely my go to. The receptionists were efficient and genuinely helpful which made check in a breeze. Room was clean & comfortable. Loved the festive Halloween decorations in the lobby, a fun touch that added personality. Also love the baggage scales in the lobby. Life saver. Great stay overall!

This hotel is so well valued for everything available. The breakfast had an enough variety to suit all needs, the fresh juices were a huge bonus and muchly appreciated after a long haul flight. All of the staff were so accommodating and kind to my 3 year old daughter. The swimming pool (although on the cooler side) was perfect to help with our jet lag. Beds were very comfortable, air conditioning worked well and room service was restaurant quality. Probably the best room service food I have ever eaten - as a travel agent I don’t say this lightly. Last Sydney airport hotel I stayed at while recovering from jet lag was the Pullman, however moving forward I will be booking Novotel only. Not as modern but the food, staff and value is unbeatable!
