I was picked up at airport by Caesar the head concierge who was super polite and professional. Upon check in I asked for a late check out and it was granter instantly. I booked a room with a view at 6th floor, room was nicely equipped but lack some amenities. The view was simply BREATHTAKING! Luxembourg is magical place and Sofitel has the best views to that beauty! Hotel has really nice restaurant and bar on top roof i checked out quickly the view was incredible. Breakfast was basic but fancy and as usual service was outstanding. Thank you Caesar, Matude and Tiago for making my short visit to Luxembourg unforgettable, Sofitel will always be my home every time I visit Luxembourg.

As always, our stay here again was pleasant and fulfilled our high expectations. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Even having house keeping clean our room at 2:30 in the afternoon was not a problem. The bed is very comfortable and the linens/towels are of good quality. It’s a short 10 minute walk to the center where there are many restaurants and bars. The hotel restaurant/bar is of something to mention as well. Great views.

This has to be the place to stay in Luxembourg - location is ideal as a base. Friendliest and most helpful staff I think we've ever come across - Kevin on reception who responded to my pre arrival email and greeted us on check in but also all the staff we met during our visit. Lovely superior rooms on the 6th floor with superb views of the city. Nice rooms with comfy beds, odd shower/toilet arrangement as others have noted but not an issue for us. Free minibar with coke and water, kettle and coffee maker also. Some items of furniture need a little modernising (e.g. the desk in one of the rooms was a little too wobbly!) but overall a lovely room. Breakfast is pricey at €35 per person but children are free and both the choice and quality is excellent - the omelette was superb as was the tea and coffee. Again great views, this time from the 8th floor. Location is spot on - the number 29 bus from the airport drops off right outside the front door and goes every 10-20 mins. A 10 min walk across the bridge gets you into the centre of the old town or a 5 min walk down the hill gets you into Grund. If you want to travel to Kirchberg you can catch the tram from Pl de Paris, about a 10 min walk from the hotel and this takes you all the way to the LuxExpo and back. All the public transport is free which is great. Enjoyed walking around Luxembourg city and taking in the sights. Struggled to find anywhere for dinner on a Sunday night and Monday afternoon - not much seems to be open on a Sunday so bear that in mind if arriving then.

Totally loved this hotel. Service from all staff was 5* plus. So helpful and so willing to assist. The room was great. Very different but we loved its unique aspect and design. Level 8 with the view is totally amazing. Restaurant I will review separately- was fabulous. All easy walking to old town and all it offers. Valet parking on site - yes. Thank you Sofitel Luxembourg

Nice hotel for two nights

We had a nice two night stay here. The bathroom set up is fine for a couple but the shower situation wouldn't be good for two friends or two people who are not a couple. There isn't much privacy in that part of the bathroom. The shower itself was fantastic with great water pressure and a rainfall shower head. The bathroom sink/vanity was nice and spacious. The only thing that was a bit strange is that we came back to the room around 5 pm and housekeeping never came. Apparently you have to put a sign out if you want them to clean your room, or at least clean it "early." I had also called reception to ask if they had a more firm pillow and they never called me back.
