Nice stay

Luckily there was a space outside to park and check in. We had reserved a parking space but there was plenty of other options available. We thought the parking was a bit pricey compared to other places we stayed. This is probably why the underground parking was empty! Room was as expected. The large step up to the bathroom seemed it could be a trip hazard. Breakfast was actually better than we expected with plenty of fresh choices. Good value stay.

Pleasant hotel convenient for the town

An excellent hotel with pleasant, clean rooms with good facilities. The car parking was in a separate underground car park just over the road. The parking spaces were very tight but manageable. The hotel location was convenient being 5 to 10 minutes walk to the beautiful town centre. Staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly with good English language

We enjoyed our stay. Hotel well placed to explore Troyes. We will visit again as soon as we are able to. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. Local travel is good on the free city bus

The hotel is just a short walk from the city centre. Our room was large, and although not important to everyone, the window was fully opening. Rooms at the back face a garden with a small river, and rooms at front face a quiet side street with free parking (if you can find a space).

Ibis can be great. This one was not. They didn’t inspire confidence on arrival by not having the room types available despite booking them in January. One of the two rooms was supposed to be a twin but they’d replaced it with a double plus sofabed. The receptionist said the sofabed would be perfect for a teenager. That might have been right for a 5ft teenager. The room was also full of flies and so it was changed for a standard double. In that room the air con controls were hanging off the wall and worked only intermittently. In the other room the bathroom door didn’t shut and the shower didn’t stay in the holder. That’s perfect if you want to shower by holding the attachment. The lift remains a mystery. Getting it to go to the right floor quickly is a bit like cracking a safe. But if you’re in no rush it does the job. Come on ibis- you can do better. Look to your colleagues in nearby Langres who run a great hotel.
