Amazing experience from beginning to end! As soon as you walk in you sense luxury. The service was impeccable and on point. The room service staff was always very friendly and quick. They even allow food delivery to the hotel which is a plus in my opinion. I’m pretty sure the bed was one of the softest most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Only slight negative was that the wifi kept disconnecting for some reason, at least once a day….other than that, thank ya’ll for an amazing hospitality experience here in Munich. Definitely will come back soon. Adriel

Sofitel Munich Bayerpost Hospitality - 5/5 Cleanliness - 5/5 Amenities - 5/5 Overall - 5/5 We are going to start this review by saying this was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Period. From the time we checked it to the time we left; we had an outstanding experience! We only had only one suggestion which we will talk about below. After having to level a horrible AirBnB, my wife and I franticly search for a hotel that we could stay at for 3 days and over a weekend in Munich. Not an easy task. However, some how we found Sofitel. We left our AirBnB immediately after finding the hotel and were welcome graciously upon arrival. I’d like to first thank Umut, who checked us in. He was nice, up beat and welcoming. So welcoming he knew we were unhappy, and asked if there was anything he could do. To which we replied, an enjoyable experience. We then explained what we had just gone through. We was blown away. He kindly gave us drink vouchers for the hotel’s bar, saying we would defiantly need a drink after what we had gone through. Next, it was like fate, ironically there was a convention being held at the hotel and they actually needed the kind of room we booked. From there Umut and manager Julian Muller kindly up graded us to a Junior Suite. We were beyond grateful. Umut finished the check in and got us on our way. The junior suite as cleaning, warm, two levels, and had a view of both Munich and Alps. It was incredible! During our stay it was quite and we never heard anyone. The room in full was clean and had no flaws. Never had a complaint there. We enjoyed the room to it’s fullest. We did end up enjoying a couple of drinks after dropping our bags and had no complains there either. The bar maid was amazing and full of life. Even suggesting a couple of craft drinks that the hotel was known for. Which we both agreed to having and were not disappointed. From there we headed back to our room to call it a night. To our surprise, while in our room, room service showed up. They brought us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. We were beside ourselves by this point. As our stay continued for the next few days, we used the concierge and enjoyed all the suggestions they gave us. Not one was bad. Again, they were kind, open, and ready to help. Now, as I said earlier, we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Having no complaints, but rather one suggestions. That was on our last day, having breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant on our way out. The overall food was good. Quite the selection. From breads, oats, meats, pretzel, eggs, and even honey comb. Top shelf. However, for the cost was quite hight. Even for all the goodies, it was high. But it was a top hotel and sometimes when you stay at places like this, it going to cost. Again, not complaining one bit! The breakfast was amazing. Just had a little sticker shock was all. To any one looking to have a grand experience while in Munich, we would highly suggest Sofitel. Moreover, we would like to take a moment and specifically thank Umut and Julian Muller for making our stay one we will remember forever!

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Sauna and pool were unfortunately under renovations, but the staff ensured we had alternatives and were extremely accomadating. Alex, at the front desk, set a great example for exemplary quality of service. At every level, the hotel truly made you feel like a guest and not a customer. The room was beyond great, and the breakfast is a must!

The hotel oozes class. The rooms are superb - spacious and very well-appointed, with all amenities. The location is fantastic, located just beside Munich Central Station. The staff members are warm and helpful. The old city is a 15 minute walk away. All in all, an excellent option for a stay in the city.

Spa is closed for months. Nice rooms. Poor check in.

Spent 2 nights here, location is next door to the train station, but don’t worry, there is no noise at all. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable. Very grand looking hotel. Very business friendly. The reason for taking 2 stars away - the number 1 factor for booking the Sofitel was their Spa which looked wonderful. I booked this weekend break directly via Sofitel months ago and chose the expensive Sofitel for this reason. On arrival we discovered the spa, swimming pool, sauna etc were all under refurbishment for several months. I would have expected an email informing us of this in advance. Their work around is to the use the spa at the Meridian opposite. Which means leaving the hotel, crossing the main road and going to a different hotel. We did but the pool temperature was cold, barely heated and frankly no where near the standard of the Sofitel. Second reason, we were not informed / reminded on arrival that the room rate included breakfast. On checking out the lovely lady at reception apologised that the person checking us in, had not informed us or bothered to tell us where the breakfast was. Granted I should have double checked if the rate included breakfast or not but from a 5 star hotel, you would expect them to inform you of restaurant hours etc. As an apology, she gave us a voucher which we used for a soft drink at the bar. Missed out of over 120 euros of breakfast but 2 coke zeros was the compensation. Overall, maybe some retraining of staff is required. Unfortunately I wish I had booked a different hotel.

We will of course endeavor to keep disruption to a minimum and complete the work quickly. I very much regret the inconvenience - and ask for your understanding for the measures. We will, of course, take your criticism regarding communication as an opportunity to scrutinize it again. However, please allow me to point out that we explicitly refer to the renovation work on all platforms and in the reservation confirmation, which our guests also confirm and expressly welcome.
