I really loved the warm welcome from the reservation agent Laura. She has been professional and kind from the beginning to the end. THANK YOU 👸🏼 Also the fact that there was a sauna and a gym where you could relax to the fullest. The hotel had a beautiful decoration.

Disappointing experience at this Novotel and below par for what you normally get. Not worth the 4 stars. Room was not cleaned properly, lots of dust in corners and on top of e.g. appliances. Everything also looks rather worn, this hotel is really in need of refurbishment. Air conditioning in room did not work, just air blowing out. Breakfast was rather disappointing, cheap orange juice from a container, lousy scrambled eggs, tasteless turkey ‘bacon’ and chicken sausage. Very limited choice of bread and toppings. Skip breakfast, not worth the money. All in all, the worst Novotel I have visited in the Netherlands.

Nice stay in general. I checked in around evening time but used a self check in machine rather than there being any staff. I’m not sure if this is standard. This meant that I didn’t get info on breakfast, bar or restaurant times (if there was a restaurant). As much as I get self check in is the new thing I miss the initial interaction. There wasn’t much interaction from the staff from this point, only one person saying hello, which was a shame! Nice location, easily accessible via trams and easily walkable to other areas including the beach. There’s not much in the way of restaurants that are local so be prepared to jump on a tram to find something. Room was nice enough, with a nice view however air con was really loud, to the point I’d have to turn it off in the night. Carpets were a little grubby, but overall it has everything you would need in a basic hotel. As nice as this place was, I’d probably explore other options before coming back.

Since I was moving houses I had to stay at the Novotel for over two weeks. How do I even start? On the first day my friend and I ordered a hot chocolate with whipped cream. The drinks arrived cold and with no added whipped cream . When we asked for some extra they said they would come bring it, however it never arrived and we had to go up to them and ask again since no none came for over 20 minutes. We were then told that they were out of stock. We said we did not want them anymore and were treated with disgust and annoyance. When sitting in the restaurant to study I was not asked for 3 hours if I wanted to drink something. When asking for scissors I was treated poorly and the girl at the reception just told me to ask someone else. When asking questions at the reception it was treated as a major inconvenience and was not helped. The cleaning of the room was poor, the staff came in multiple times without knocking which is unacceptable. The beds were not changed and i had to sleep in stains for over a week. The floor did not get vacuumed once. The dead mosquitoes i found on the window sill on day 1 was still there on the day of the checkout. When asking the staff for cleaning they just denied it and gave me sheets to do it myself. When I arrived the tv and mini fridge were broken and I had to ask 3 times for someone to come fix it. In conclusion, the stay was very disappointing and the staff inside of the hotel were everything but hospitable.
