Just what you need for a short city break

We planned a short Berlin city break and needed a nice hotel in a good location. This hotel provided a perfect solution. We arrived late at night and were welcomed by a friendly receptionist. With ibis hotels, it’s a fairly standard offering and this hotel was no different. It was simple, clean and well presented. It was well located too - easy to get to on the subway with the station maybe only 100m away. We walked to a few of the nearby attractions such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Topography of Terror, the Mall of Berlin & Potsdamer Platz. A well-priced hotel, conveniently located. We would stay here again.

Decent short stay in the city centre

The hotel is conveniently placed in a central location in Berlin. The room was a twin and was spacious for one person. The room was clean. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel has the word 'budget' in its name so you have to expect some compromises. The layout of the room was a bit odd - the sink is in the room itself, with the toilet and shower being separate. This was fine for me as one person only staying for a few nights, but isn't really practical for more than one person, or if staying for longer than a few nights. The bed mattress was very thin and not particularly comfortable, so is only really suitable for a night or maximum 2 night stay. That being said, again the staff were all very nice and the hotel is in a good location, so if you are on a budget and only staying in Berlin for a few nights the hotel may serve your purpose.

Good value for money, great location, just not fancy

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a good stay. Can’t comment on breakfast as didn’t eat at the hotel but staff were helpful. Location is great, 1 minute from Anhalter Barnhof on the S-bahn and very central. Rooms were basic and tight more 3 of us but clean and comfy. Also room was quiet which I didn’t expect in a capital city budget hotel. They were a bit stingy on towels and pillows but we got more when we asked. Price was very affordable and quality decent so definitely recommend if you’re not after a luxurious stay.

Sweaty nights and rude staff

I did not have a great stay. Stayed here for 3 night and had issues with the air-conditioning. Told the staff who send out a mechanic but still air-conditioning didn't work, resulting in sweaty nights with not a lot of sleep for both me and my friend . During check out I mentioned this problem again but the staff and manager replied like she didnt care and didn't really bother to compensate in any way. Definitely not staying here again.
