ibis Nice Centre Notre Dame bintang 3

This hotel is an embarrassment to the Ibis brand. Some really inexcusable things going on, such as: extremely, almost non-working wifi throughout the hotel and lobby; bad customer service (it doesn't hurt to smile or acknowledge guests as they come in or out the hotel), very poor breakfast with non existent vegan choices other than nut milk. Poor green credentials: towels were consistently changed daily even though they were left --as instructed-- on their hooks to keep using them; aircon was left on after our room was turned over; coffee is served in disposable cups; and every day there is a ridiculous "news service" on colour printed A4 pages with a supposedly curated selection of news in many languages, when in fact it's just a bunch of articles from Associated Press that no one reads --explain how this is a green initiative? On top of that, the hotel is tired: floor boards are swollen near the bathroom, bathroom did not have aircon vent on its own; room was very noisy (poor sound insulation); only 2 sockets which were also far from the bed; and a very uninspiring decor, in desperate need of a proper Ibis makeover. I was recently almost back to back to this one and a similar category Ibis in Madrid, and Madrid did everything right, plus they were much cheaper. More like a hostel than an Ibis hotel.

Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious would definitely stop here again .the location was great too . We booked for a 3 night stay and it suited us price wise and location wise perfectly.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the main Jean Medecin street which means you are right in the middle of the action and shopping just 200 meters from the hotel. Also, the promenade is about 12 min walk from the hotel. Fast food joints like Mcdonalds and KFC are within 2 min walking distance, as are pharmacies, convenience store and other eateries. Nice-Ville station is about a 5-6 min walk. We had mixed experience with the staff - the lady managing the desk in the morning was helpful and responsive, however, the one managing in the evening was very rude and not helpful at all.

Stayed for 7 nights. Great hotel ,clean, nice room, good bed, lovely air conditioning on all the time to keep room cool. Dark skinned lady on reception was very helpful, friendly. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. A credit to the company. Good location just off Jean Medecin Avenue, close to Monoprix supermarket and train station. Tram stops. About a mile to beach, Place Massena. Didn't try breakfast. Hope to stay here again .Nice is lovely. Took the train to Antibes and Monaco, boat to St Tropez. Have been to Nice four times. I really didn't know what to expect because the current reviews on tripadvisor are 3.5. However, I have stayed before in Ibis hotels and this met all expectations. The room was immaculate and looked as advertised. The bathroom was spacious and included sustainably packaged soaps and a hairdryer. I felt like I was a high maintenance customer because I asked the staff many questions. However, they answered me always graciously and in a friendly manner, with no impatience. This wasn't just one staff member - it was staff who were there at various times of the day (they were present 24 hours/day). The room was comfortable and I was able to get work done. I was surprised by the calls of other reviewers that the hotel needed updating. The hotel offers excellent value due to its location (close to Avenue Jean-Medecin Tram 1, Nice-Ville Station, and Tram 2) and existing amenities. Everything was clean, functional, and aesthetically neutral. Continuous updates would compromise this price-quality ratio, and for me, travelling, the hotel is usually not the destination. I appreciate the consistency of rooms that Ibis/Accor offers and would stay there again when visiting Nice. PS I would also recommend travelers to the hotel stop at the Tunisian patisserie around the corner - Sidi Bou Said - their fresh beignets were incredible!
