Rooms are not very large, miss chairs and display rather tasteless decoration but are otherwise modern, quite functional, well equipped, with capsule bathroom, good beds, rolling tables, safe, fridge, etc. The entrance hall is large, open, well decorated, with a comfortable lounge, rather large dining room with an open self-service kitchen offering a very generous and wide selection of breakfast foods and beverages.

Tidy enough hotel clean but aged Rooms cleaned daily Most staff are friendly but some are not so friendly and damn well rude and aggressive The rooftop bar is ok but can be closed for staff parties or gatherings which is a bit galling as it’s the only place at the hotel to get a drink as there is nowhere inside the hotel and it’s only open 6pm til 11pm So surely guest come first not friends of staff Will not be staying again at this hotel Probably not at a mecure hotel anywhere ever again

It is my third stay within a year. This time back to junior suite as privilege room I stayed in December was far too small. We are coming back for location and predictable comfort. Hotel is not luxury but smart looking. I must admit however that my Platinum status means nothing in this establishment, nobody even mentions it at check in. This has been consistent in all my stays here. Hotel gets reservations through loyalty scheme so not sure why is it such a problem to at least give warm welcome and explain on property benefits and arrange to leave welcome amenity with the card - like other Mercure and Novotels do. But no - nothing. Apart from automatic drink voucher which you get since silver in your card holder - there is no recognition. I asked for late checkout (which is one of the benefits) as we checked in at 10.30 pm and wanted to do some shopping before moving on but got minimum possible - 1 hour… it was not convenient for housekeeper to return slightly later. Rooftop bar is great and the barman is very pleasant but we only had 15 min to enjoy it before 11 pm closure. Junior suite was clean with iron, bathrobes and Nuxe Miel tolietries - but these were not refilled sufficiently and I run out of conditioner half way through applying it. The materace was too firm for me but this may suit others. Airconditioning cannot cope with heat very well and did not sufficiently cool the room. As a result, it was difficult to sleep. Overall it could be an excellent hotel if people at reception were a bit more forthcoming and welcoming for returning customers. Because in hospitality business how staff makes you feel matters just as well as facilities on offer. I hope this constructive feedback from very experienced traveller helps.

IMHO This is a tired 3 star hotel which sells itself as a 4 stars. Location is great. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are very small, old, not inviting: like an acceptable place to crash, not 4 stars. The staff is very nice though.
