Clean and airy reception. Key cards didn’t work in lifts despite requests to get actual working cards. Breakfast was just sloppy scrambled eggs and cold baked beans in terms of hot choices. This, coupled with a very noisy group at 2 other tables made for a poor experience. Beers we ordered in the evening weren’t what we actually received. Rooms were clean but metal frame as a wardrobe was poorly positioned and fixed in place meaning I hit my head on there several times.

Visited with my 80 year old mother, brother & wife for 4 nights. Lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff who speak good English. Clean comfortable rooms, cleaned everyday and great shower. Breakfast is good but gets very busy. 20 minutes from airport. Location good be slightly better as my mother finds it difficult walking far so needed to use an Uber a fair bit but they are cheap enough. I would use again if I was coming with my wife.

Here’s the updated message: "The hotel is good, but the room is small. There is no minibar. The breakfast is very good, and they have a cold sparkling and still water machine in the hallway. The location is good, and you can visit all the tourist attractions in the city on foot."

Nice breakfast, and dinner at the restaurant. There is basically no lobby in the hotel. The lobby is the restaurant. The air conditioner didn’t function well. After reporting it, someone came to fix it. It was better, but it was still not cool. The room was warm in the morning even with the air conditioner on. The hair dryer attached to the wall in the bathroom was difficult to use. We got a room that has a beautiful view of Wawel Castle.

Decent stay but disappointed. Could be much better. Customer service an issue.

Standard hotel chain fare, clean and quiet, and reasonable rates. Coach parties predominant. Location good for castle and Old Town, within reasonable walking distance.. Twin bedded room was very small with not a lot of room other than the beds, no comfortable seating area. Breakfast was quite good, with a decent range of foods to eat, and good coffee. Staff friendly. Menu at restaurant rather limited. Encountered a problem with an early evening meal when barman indicated a charge for a jug of tap water when other tables laid out for a coach party were so provided. On complaining, I was told this for “gastronomic reasons”. Barman then unilaterally cancelled my meal, and 10 mins later reinstated my order, aggressively and unnecessarily slamming down the cutlery on the table because we had dared to complain. Not nice. Spoilt a good stay. Also, hotel information does not advise shared facilities with Novotel next door, and we found out late in the day that we could have used the spa/swimming facilities. Reception staff very pleasant but lacking proper knowledge about hotel policies and facilities, which are not displayed on their website either. Needs the presence of someone more senior and experienced who can mentor and support younger staff. Overall slightly disappointed.
