Bad start but made up for this during the stay

We booked this hotel as part of a JET2 break. Our flight was cancelled due to the fog and we had to wait until the next morning to fly to Krakow. We got to the hotel and the man on reception advised that his English was not good. We explained our plight and he went to speak to a manager. He came back out and advised us that as we had not arrived on the scheduled date, they had given our rooms away and initially adivsed that the hotel was full. When we protested, he again spoke to a manager and came out to say they had found one room and if we paid 500+ zl we could have it. We again refused as the room we had booked had already been paid via Jet2. I had to call Jet2 and thankfully they took over and called to hotel who magically discovered a room for us and another couple who had arrived a day late at the same time as us. The man, who advised he had poor English was then also able to discuss local attractions with us, gave us a map showing locations and transport links etc... nothing short of a miracle here. Despite the above, the hotel was lovely. It is a taxi ride from the Old Town but the Bolt Taxi app is brilliant and the taxi ride to there was around £5-£6 for two of us. The hotel is spotless clean. The room (Twin) was great and very clean. We used the pool and it was empty every time which was even better. The shower in the ladys changing area was not great as the water ran all over the floor outside the cubicle making it hard to find a dry spot to dress. I had read reveiws on how busy and inadequate the dining area was however this was not our experience. There were always plenty of available seats. The breakfast options were great. There was something for everyone from sausage, eggs, to continental, fruit, yoghurt, a lot of breads, pastries etc We also had one evening meal which was also delicious. I had the steak and my friend had the carbonara. Good value for money too. There is a nice bar area also and the price was not overly expensive. I would go back here if returning to Krakow

We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Krakow City West. The room was clean, comfortable, and stylish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. While the hotel is a bit further from the Old Town, the transportation links are excellent. We didn't mind the short journey and actually preferred the quieter location. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Krakow.

Hotel is beautiful, rooms were spotless, staff lovely will definitely be back at some point 😊 location is just a short drive from city centre, transport is great either taxi or bus, Restaurant and bar busy at times but worth the wait as food is delicious.

The rooms were pretty decent and clean. It’s just the staff are rude. Specially in the fitness center. 15 minutes of working out (10:45am) the staff started to vacuum the whole gym and cleaned a spot on the floor with a very strong chemical and it made me so dizzy and opted out to stop my exercise. Complained to the reception, without any apologies that their guest was not feeling comfortable, and gave the reason that the staff in fitness center are third party. So disappointed.

Nice rooms, nice pool

This hotel has nice rooms and great common areas. The kids loved the pool. The location is just outside walking distance from the historic downtown. The fold-out bed they set up for the kids was quite uncomfortable and could use some thicker padding.
