Brilliant hotel, superb stay

A beautiful hotel in a beautiful area (despite or possibly because of the waste ground around it which separates it from surrounding buildings). It stands alone in a cleared space and at night the surrounding buildings shine like precious stones gleaming on a black velvet blanket. Room was lovely, staff excellent, food very-high quality, and we had a very lovely stay. High room with beautiful views. Fridge and fast wi-fi. Happy times.

I would NOT recommend or stay here again.

I would NOT recommend or stay here again. We had 1 night at this hotel, a overnight stop before driving to Budapest. I unpacked only what I needed but in the rush I forgot to pick up some personal items when we left. Knowing that there were definitely at the hotel I thought i could collect them on our return to Krakow. However the housekeeper stole the items. I was so upset and angry. Although this was total my own fault it's sad that there are unreliable thieves and liers in a position of trust. I would NOT recommend or stay here again.

Clean & tidy but Restaurant and Bar lets it down

Hotel staff at the main desk were friendly and helpful, cleaners tidied out room every day, room was clean on arrival. It had a bath which was lovely. Cost about £4 in an Uber to get to the center, there’s a garage opposite which is handy. The whole hotel is really clean. The reason this is 3 stars is because. 1. The heated pool definitely isn’t heated, it’s not even lukewarm, 2. The bar and restaurant staff lets this place down. It was hard to find someone to serve you at the bar even tho it was quiet, you’d see staff walking around but wouldn’t get served for over 10 minutes. This happened every day/night, the restaurant staff are sadly too busy talking, we asked for the burger plain, it came with alsorts on it which is ok as mistakes happen, but 5 staff stood around at the restaurant holding a baby for atleast 20 minutes made it so we couldn’t get this rectified straight away. We had to wait until someone finally walked past. After the plate had been taken to redo the burger it came back and it was clear it was the same patty as it was lukewarm and now as dry as anything. The other person had already finished their meal by the time this meal came back. Would have been a much higher rating if it wasn’t for the bar and restaurant. Overall it was pleasant and I would stay there again but I’d eat and have drinks out

We booked this hotel as part of a JET2 break. Our flight was cancelled due to the fog and we had to wait until the next morning to fly to Krakow. We got to the hotel and the man on reception advised that his English was not good. We explained our plight and he went to speak to a manager. He came back out and advised us that as we had not arrived on the scheduled date, they had given our rooms away and initially adivsed that the hotel was full. When we protested, he again spoke to a manager and came out to say they had found one room and if we paid 500+ zl we could have it. We again refused as the room we had booked had already been paid via Jet2. I had to call Jet2 and thankfully they took over and called to hotel who magically discovered a room for us and another couple who had arrived a day late at the same time as us. The man, who advised he had poor English was then also able to discuss local attractions with us, gave us a map showing locations and transport links etc... nothing short of a miracle here. Despite the above, the hotel was lovely. It is a taxi ride from the Old Town but the Bolt Taxi app is brilliant and the taxi ride to there was around £5-£6 for two of us. The hotel is spotless clean. The room (Twin) was great and very clean. We used the pool and it was empty every time which was even better. The shower in the ladys changing area was not great as the water ran all over the floor outside the cubicle making it hard to find a dry spot to dress. I had read reveiws on how busy and inadequate the dining area was however this was not our experience. There were always plenty of available seats. The breakfast options were great. There was something for everyone from sausage, eggs, to continental, fruit, yoghurt, a lot of breads, pastries etc We also had one evening meal which was also delicious. I had the steak and my friend had the carbonara. Good value for money too. There is a nice bar area also and the price was not overly expensive. I would go back here if returning to Krakow

We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel Krakow City West. The room was clean, comfortable, and stylish. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. While the hotel is a bit further from the Old Town, the transportation links are excellent. We didn't mind the short journey and actually preferred the quieter location. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Krakow.
