Despite the ongoing work at the hotel, the time spent there was perfect. The staff was, as usual, very kind and offered a personalized service.

The hotel thought it was a good idea to do renovations during the busy holiday periods so their famous brunch restaurant was closed and so was the gym. If this was mentioned at time of booking, we would not have come here - especially at holiday prices. The rooms are old and basic (70s pine wood furniture....) with really creepy framed photos of black and white buildings on the walls that look haunted AND on one day, no idea why the room reeked of onions after housekeeping. We have stayed in Sofitel's around the world and this doesn't deserve the brand. There are MUCH better hotels for same price range or cheaper in the vicinity (Le Germain being one we moved to after this hotel, so chique). But I will say the staff were VERY nice, polite and super helpful and the only reason I don't give you a 1 rating.

Great Stay

Service is some of the best I've ever had. Only negative - I didn't know the bar and restaurant were under renovation so we couldn't make use of those amenities. We had dinner plans out each night of our stay anyway but a drink at the bar before/after would have been nice.

Nice hotel but nothing special

The hotel is nice and well located, but front desk is a little distant and there isn’t workout space or a place to sit with family and friends outside the room to talk or get a drink. Overall, a nice and very functional hotel but for the price you could do that at a much cheaper location.

I hate to leave a review like this but was VERY disappointed with this hotel overall. I was not aware it was under construction. We came in for NYE, which is a special night. I picked this hotel BECAUSE it had amenities which looked really nice on-line. No restaurant, no gym, no pool. Just a room and a basic room at that. One bed was great and one was not. When we called to see if they would switch us, they didn’t. The hotel was not full at all. I was so broken hearted and wish I would have picked the Ritz just down the street. :(. Can’t get time back but this hotel was a complete miss. The staff were sweet but that’s it.
