The hotel is a 10 min walk from the centre of Winterthur and its station. There is a frequent bus service outside. Zurich lake can be reached by train in under 20 mins and the Airport in about 15 by train. The hotel is next to a McDonalds and petrol station supermarket. My room was clean, the bed comfortable and was air-conditioned. The breakfast offering was good with some hot food.

This hotel offers many amenities that at the end they don't provide like Air Conditioning. It was awful we spend three sleepless very hot nights because the AC does not exist. We complained and the receptionist, in a rude way said that it was cold outside, 27°C/81°F, so the AC was not working because the outside temperature was lower that the one the central unit of the AC is programmed to start working. The problem is that the inside temperature of the 'mini' room where we were in was higher than that. It would have been better to sleep outside in the parking lot, which by the way was very expensive. They offered us a fan that we could use or the option to leave the hotel and go to other one that would fit as better. The problem was that it was late in the afternoon, all the nearby hotels were full and this hotel was prepaid, non refundable. I would not recommend this hotel

We have stayed at the same hotel again, so there were no surprises, on the contrary : a sense of familiarity. The hotel is clean and quiet and its location is very convenient, three minutes by public transport from the railway station and at the same time away from noise. We could do with a little more variety at breakfast. I would particularly like to thank the staff at the reception desk, who were very kind and helpful.

Typical Ibis room, so not large, but plenty comfortable enough. Location is good, buffet breakfast was good, and additional outdoor seating area pleasant. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
