Clean and Basic but Awful Location

Stayed here with my wife and 2 teenage boys for a quick weekend in France. The hotel is very basic, clean and has friendly staff. Breakfast is continental as we expected. The location is awful, You need a car to get away from the area especially to find somewhere to eat and shop. There is a complex with restaurants and shops about a 10 minute drive away. What didn't help is the fact we arrived the day the locals were rioting and striking due to French political issues.

We arrived off the ferry long after the stated reception opening time but a staff member was on hand to help us and other late arrivals. Room clean & tidy, quite small (couldn't wheel a suitcase past the bed.) Lighting was good (unlike in many hotels.) Breakfast - a good buffet, but the coffee (although nominally fresh-ground) was poor / undrinkable.

Madame, Merci pour les compliments pour votre valise ce n'est pas au bout du lit qu'il faut la mettre mais en dessous face au lit elle passe sans problème vu que nos lits sont hauts , le café est référencé ACCOR , il est vrai que si vous êtes experte en café celui ci n'est pas le meilleur Au plaisir de vous recevoir a nouveau Cordialement, La DIRECTION

Useful hotel, Very conveniently situated for late cross-channel ferry arrival with electronic check in facility. On site parking and lift to comfortable rooms. breakfat buffet served. Well situated for visits to Normandy tourist area Honfleur, Rouen Battlefields etc.

Stayed for one night after the night ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre got cancelled, excellent hotel once I found it as they don’t have an external sight advertising the hotel. Had a very nice breakfast and a comfy nights sleep

We've stayed here a few times and been very happy with our stays. It's only five or ten minutes from the Brittany Ferries terminal so ideal for both late arrivals and early departures. Staff are helpful - even late at night when Reception is closed, there has usually been someone to help us register and get our car through the security gate! Rooms are typical Ibis Budget, fresh and in good condition. Breakfast again is typical of similar hotels - simple but good. At the price this hotel is an ideal stopover for travellers.
