I am writing this review to warn other guests, particularly women and families. During my stay at Novotel Suites Paris Montreuil Vincennes, my sister, my young niece, and I experienced a serious and frightening security incident late at night. On Saturday 17th, shortly after midnight, we had just returned to the hotel after a long day at Disneyland when an unknown adult male followed us into the hotel, entered the lift with us, accessed our guest-only floor, and followed us to our room area. He initially spoke to me in English, asking where I was from. When I challenged him about his room, floor, and room key, he suddenly claimed he could not speak English. We remained by the lift because we felt something was wrong and did not want him to know which room we were in. The man lingered in the hallway, became aggressive, and shouted at us to go into our room. He walked towards a staircase, returned and questioned us again, then moved towards the other staircase. At that point, we ran into our room and locked the door. When I contacted reception, I was explicitly instructed not to call the police. I was told security had checked CCTV and that no one was seen. No reassurance or meaningful response was provided. An unauthorised individual accessing guest floors at night and repeatedly confronting women and a child is a serious failure of guest safety. I did not feel safe for the remainder of the stay. Until this hotel can demonstrate proper access controls and an appropriate response to serious incidents, I cannot recommend it. Families and women travelling alone should exercise extreme caution. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Good hotel, shameful surroundings

Hotel fine, good family suite room, slow on service particularly check in. Breakfast options good but really busy. Major downside is the location, the streets are filthy, litter everywhere from the local traders opposite, rats meters from the hotel entrance, undesirable location for a hotel. None of this is the hotels fault rather the local authority for not applying stringent measures on littering, general upkeep of the area. A shame for the hotel as it’s a good base to see Paris from.

Great location to Metro and great staff

We stayed here for 2 nights while we visited Paris. It's only 5 minutes from the Metro which makes travelling to any part of Paris quick and easy. Every morning we asked staff for directions and they were so helpful in every way. The breakfast was very nice, the rooms were fine. The outside of the hotel had a market directly outside which caused some litter, but this was not at all the hotels fault. We used Uber to return to hotel late at night for convenience which was normally 20 Euros or less. If you don't want to spend a fortune on a hotel in the center of Paris I would highly recommend this budget location. Thank you to all the staff

Extremely Disappointed – Avoid This Hotel! I just checked in at Novotel Suites Paris Montreuil Vincennes on 21st June 2025 and had one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever encountered. As soon as we checked in, we were horrified to find the room infested with mosquitoes and sand flies. It was completely unhygienic and unacceptable, especially considering the brand name and the price we paid. To make things worse, the air conditioning was not working at all during peak summer—making the room nearly unbearable. When we raised this with the hotel staff and manager, they acknowledged the issue but had no solution to offer. They claimed the hotel was fully booked and could not move us to another room or fix the situation. Their response was shockingly indifferent—they simply told us to contact our travel agency (MakeMyTrip) for compensation instead of helping us directly. For a hotel that claims to be 4-star and part of the Accor group, this was a massive letdown. The room conditions were unacceptable, customer service was poor, and the overall attitude of the staff was apathetic and dismissive. I would strongly advise against staying at this property. It is absolutely not worth the money, and you run the risk of ending up in a hot, mosquito-ridden room with zero help from management. For Novotel chain hotel, this is probably by far the worst hotel and I would urge you not to book if you like luxury. This hotel reminds me of a caravan when you go inside the room. I am gutted we changed our luxury hotel in Disneyland with pool and spa etc and we came here to be close to town and this place is a joke. Staff need further training. If you want something done you have to keep running as it seems staff don’t talk to each other
