Location is excellant. Walking distance to light rail stations and inner Newcastle. Great easy parking as well. Staff wwere very helpful. Reception and bar light and airy. I was on ground floor and there was little or no noise. Room incrediably dated. Has pod bathroom that would not be wheel chair friendly. No details about wifi or tv provided. think $200 would be reasonable not the $400 plus I paid.

Very well located for the bus to and from the airport and also easy walk to the foreshore and the city. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. However, my room (111) was closest to the reception and restaurant and was very noisy - this was disappointing as I had specifically requested a quiet room. The breakfast was very average. Staff were very friendly.

Sharrie and staff were awesome the ibis hotel is so perfectly positioned and great to e especially for work and doctors appointments.

Don't stay there, terrible part of town and unclean.

This was one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. The smell of cigarette smoke, not to mention a used condom near my bed that hadn't been cleaned up. Never again. Totally disgusting.

Tired and Unloved

We stayed at IBIS Newcastle in a room that was on a level with maintenance men working in the rooms either side of ours. There were what looked like old doors lining the hallway as we walked to our room. We wanted to rest after a long trip and what we got from around 14:00 to 18:00 was hammering and drilling into brickwork. Serenity!! We have stayed at many IBIS hotels throughout Europe and IBIS Newcastle is amongst the worst IBIS accommodation that we have experinced. It appeared old and unloved and in poor condition. I am actually surprised that this hotel is in The Accor Group because it is these types of hotels that damage your brand.
