Good afternoon, This is regarding my horrible experience at Novotel Mechelen Centrum,Belgium on 25 July When I reached the hotel at 9 in the morning,the staff at the reception told me that your room is not available and it will not be available till 12 in the noon so you can leave your luggage here and go out and come later I went out with 2 heavy bags and came back after half an hour The lobby area was super cold and filled with people who were extremely loud.I sat on the sofa from 0930 till 12 At 1150,I noticed that your staff gave room to someone else who came after me. At 12,I went to the reception and asked a lady if my room was available and she said what which room It apperaed to me that she had no idea that I was right there since 0930 and she did not care to follow up on the availability of room for me. She without communicating to me went inside a room and called Shanzay,the front office manager and also the most obnoxiously rude person in the hotel,I wonder who appointed her as the front office manager When I asked the first guy I spoke to for his name,he refused me on my face.He told me I will not tell you When I asked Shanzay for his name,she told me first you tell me your name wow wow wow Then she went on telling me I will not give you his name.I asked if as a customer I was supposed to know the name of the hotel staff She told me her name and spelled it at such a warp speed with rolling eyes and making stupid faces at me. Shanzay asked me for my passport and then almost slammed my passport at the desk and said go you will not get a room before 3 p.m. Then Shanzay went and called another lady and while that lady was talking to me,Shanzay kept a stupid grin on her face,like this was a joke When I asked for breakfast at 9,I was told you are not allowed to have breakfast I was not offered changing room to freshen up I was not offered a luggage room And your staff has the balls to tell me to calm down Your staff has zero manners,they are highly unprofessional They think they can make me sit there on the sofa till 3 and make fun of me,that is some sort of achievement for them This has been the most horrible experience I have ever had at a hotel I will definitely be sharing my reviews on every single platform that is out there Never see you again guys Yahoo Mail: Search, organise, conquer

The policy is that check-in starts at 3 PM, this is so we can make sure that all rooms are cleaned and in good condition. We understand that everyone would like to check in as soon as possible to go to the festival due to this we made sure there were dressing rooms available. We are sad to learn that this was not to your liking, as on your confirmation and online everywhere is stated check-in is from 3 PM. Clean and comfortable rooms. The front desk staff is excellent and they also offer a nice breakfast buffet. The location is on a side street, but the hotel is walkable to most attractions and restaurants. Easy affordable stay, that I highly recommend.

Plus: - location - gym Minus: -Aircon does not work even though the hotel offers option to adjust the temp -Noisiness from the street because there is need to sleep window open -staff and problem solving -breakfest

However, we regret to hear about the difficulties you encountered with the air conditioning system. Regarding the noise from the street, our rooms are generally praised for their tranquility, thanks to the double-glazed windows, and we are sorry if the outside sound disturbed your rest. Nice hotel! Good price including breakfast, very nice location (near the vismarkt, very nice restaurants and terraces) Friendly staff, and clean rooms. Nice Breakfast with lots of options. If i ever go to mechelen again, i would surely stay here once again.
