We had a great stay at Novotel Manchester! We booked a suite for a little extra room, and it was definitely worth it — spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The hotel has lovely, modern decor throughout, giving it a stylish and welcoming feel. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of town, with everything within easy walking distance — shops, restaurants, and attractions. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the bar food in the evening was also really nice. Staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights for my 21st, and the staff couldn’t have done more to make my birthday any better. When I arrived, I was told my room had been upgraded from a superior room to an executive room. It was lovely. If you book an executive room ask for room 444. There was a couple of balloons on my bed with some confetti, and then a small slate with a slice of cheesecake and sauce spelling “happy birthday” it was very pleasant. There were cans of water in the fridge on arrival, and the housekeeping replaced these the next day too as we did drink them. The room was very spacious, with a big bed, massive television and the bathroom was good size and very fancy. You could see the shower through the glass from the bed, but there was a button on the wall if you wanted to blur the glass out for privacy. This is the quietest hotel we have ever stayed in. We didn’t hear anyone else in the hotel, it was almost silent. We heard the odd bang every few hours but we couldn’t hear any neighbours or loud talking, and we did sleep pretty well too. Tea and coffee making facilities, however the coffee machine leaked so we just used tea and instant coffee instead, no major problems there. Bathrobes and thin sliders were provided which was an added luxury. The only thing we have to say was negative was the room service. They added a £5 charge every time you had something bought up for you, bearing in mind they only had to jump in the lift. I could go downstairs myself and get it for free. The man over the phone told me it was £29 including the room service charge for 4 drinks, which I thought was reasonable. Then when the lady delivered it to my room I was charged £39. It had to be paid for however when I was told £29 at the beginning it was a bit of a let down, however not a massive deal so I paid and got on with my night. The hotel is in a good location, not too close to everything and about a 5-7 minute walk from the main centre of shops and bars. We would definitely return.

Just not good enough

Absolutely awful stay on a number of levels. I would never return here. The hotel is in a good location; very central and convenient. But the rooms are dirty, old, and in my view, the staff just don't care. I had issues with the first room I was assigned (significant mould) which I brought to staff attention. After leaving the issue with them for the day to solve, I returned to the hotel to be assured by the front desk that the issue was fixed. It most definitely was not. I was moved to a different room (note no help provided by staff) which had a problem with the shower drain. This meant that you could not shower for more than about 30 or so seconds before the shower floor would fill up and spill over onto the bathroom floor. Again, I raised this issue with staff who told me they would get the issue fixed. Again, it was not and my family had to deal with VERY short showers for the next three nights. I could not even wash my hair. On top of all of this, pillows are the worst I have used anywhere and rustled all night long due to a plastic cover. For ALL status members, the hotel provides good drink redemptions but there was absolutely no other recognition (certainly no room upgrade as per conditions, and no welcome amenity). I was offered, and accepted, complimentary breakfast on our first morning at the hotel as an apology for the mould issue. I appreciated the gesture but remained frustrated by the hotel's lack of managing issues on multiple occasions. I cannot recommend the hotel at all.

Really enjoyed this stay.. definitely our favourite hotel in Manchester. As Accor Platinum members they could not do enough to make our stay special. Early check Upgrade to junior sweet Newspapers and treats in the suite Breakfast was lovely with quality buffet choices Big thanks to Pasquale and all the team.

Stayed one night for work and the service was great, the staff at the front desk were so helpful and friendly. This Novotel is my usual pick when I go to Manchester because the service is always consistently good and the location is close to shops & train station. Room was comfy and I had a great night's sleep. Will be back in a few months!
