The lobby is sumptuously decorated for Christmas with an enormous tree and we were plied with mulled wine and hot chocolate on arrival from a little Christmas hut. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we had a guided tour of the hotel. The room was set up perfectly as per our special request with a rollaway bed for our daughter. The beds were very comfortable and the room was well appointed and quiet. Diptyque toiletries are a nice touch. Housekeeping dropped off little treats most days- Christmas shortbread/festive nuts- very popular with all. We chose an inclusive breakfast deal and service and food were great- coffee excellent. The gym covered the basics and equipment was clean and modern, although we couldn’t get the fancy relaxation chair to work - likely operator error. Gym refreshments were complimentary- coconut water and bliss balls on offer. The location is hard to beat- a stones throw to most CBD attractions and easy access to the tube via Piccadilly Circus. A fabulous homebase for our 5 day stay- wish we could have stayed for longer!

A great stay at the Sofitel London St James. We must have met a dozen staff and all were pleasant and friendly. Thanks to Rika for showing us around when we arrived and for giving us an insight into the history of the building. We had what would be an entry level room but it was luxurious and very comfortable. The bed was large, soft and relaxing. The room service food and wine are excellent, just right. And thanks to whoever scattered rose petals across our bed when we were out. A lovely surprise.

I loved my stay at the hotel. In addition to the great location, the staff were attentive, and professional. The gym was clean and well-equipped. The room - I think it was just a standard room - was large, comfortable, well-maintained and had fun decor.

Our reference hotel in London!! It's wonderful and the staff is incredible. We have been going for more than 10 years and we have never changed, they make us feel at home. The location is incredible, to walk wherever you want and close to the best restaurants. Thank you so much

Perfectly located for easy access to everything! Staff were professional and extremely helpful. Any issues were dealt with immediately and without a fuss! We stayed there for around ten nights but broke our stay in the middle by 3 nights when we went to Oxford. So was great that we could have our luggage stored until our next check in. Highly recommend without hesitation
