Great staff and comfortable stay

We had a quick overnight stay in Barcelona before a cruise and chose this hotel due to price mainly because we booked late. I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms are small and basic but what more do you want for a short stay? There were shops and restaurants close by which was handy. Staff were exceptionally friendly! Breakfast was ok, I can’t think of much more to say about it. Breads, yoghurt, fruit, meats etc, nothing special but just ok. I recommend this hotel though for its location close to Barcelona airport

I have been coming to this hotel for many years for both business and pleasure, and have come to love the place. It is clean, pleasant and the staff are all super friendly. I have seen 2 refurbishments over the years - it now has a great music theme - but secretly I still prefer the original traditional Spanish flamenco theme it had when I first came here. The rooms are typical Ibis of course but airy, roomy, clean and with a splendid shower. The restaurant is great and has an enclosed and shady outdoor terrace area too. Breakfast is also typical Ibis but with outstandingly delicious coffee. It sits in a largely industrial area but the Splau shopping and cinema complex is just a 5 minute walk away and has a good selection of restaurants etc. The airport is around 10 minutes by car.

This hotel is in the Cornella district, which is quite industrial plus the World Trade Center is here, and it’s fairly close to the airport, which is why we chose it. But there is nothing to do or to look at here - our room window looked out on an empty dirt lot and parking lot. Our room was clean, I’ll say that about it. But it felt like a dorm room. 2 threadbare bath towels and a bath mat. Only 2 pillows for a queen size bed. Couldn’t get much smaller, especially the bathroom. Poor shower. No coffee station in room or in lobby. Restaurant closed for the month, so no breakfast available. We ate at the Binomio restaurant in the Novotel Hotel down the street, and we wished we were staying there instead. It was hopping, while our hotel was pretty barren.

Picked this place because it was close to the airport. The front desk staff was nice enough to arrange a taxi for us at 3:30 in the morning the night before so that we didn't have to worry about it it cost €24. Turns out the price was actually very low compared to some of the other Ibis locations in Barcelona with roughly the same access by a Metro to the touristy areas that you may want to visit. Well priced, I wish I had stayed here the three nights before my cruise. I spent €150 a night at the Ibis glories and it definitely was not worth it. Only problem was the air conditioner rattled very loudly on speed 3 but it worked fine on speeds 1 and 2 so I didn't say anything about it.

A reliable functional place to stay in a great location. Very clean with comfy rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable. Only negative was that there was no kettle in the room as is common in Europe. Hotel is in a great location on the edge of Barcelona... about 15 minutes from the airport by taxi (€24). It is in a quiet suburb but just a 2 minute walk from a big shopping/entertainment complex (Splau) with all manner of restaurants and eating places ranging from McDonald's and Starbucks through to mid range restaurants! Wed definitely stay here again next time we're in Barcelona.
