Theft from suitcase within my room and a very poor response from the hotel

AirPods were stolen from a bag within my suitcase in my hotel room. It was later confirmed by the hotel that a third party housekeeper was responsible for this theft. Despite receptionists seeming apologetic and responsive at the time I reported the incident, and ensuring me that I would be contacted via the general manager after my stay, communication from the hotel severely lacked and I had to reach out/chase up on emails for a response. The hotel failed to offer any sort of compensation/reimbursement for the stolen goods. At the least I would have expected some sort of voucher as a gesture of goodwill. Although I understand theft can happen (although my belongings should be safe within my suitcase in a locked room) I feel the hotels response has been especially poor. I have still not received a response from the hotels general manager, despite being told they would contact me after my stay.

On the following day, 26 March 2025, we offered to assist you in communicating with the police. However, we did not receive a reply from you until 04/04/2025. Please understand that a large number of daily emails does not facilitate the clarification process, but rather slows it down. We remain at your disposal for constructive cooperation and hope that you will be able to clarify the matter together with the responsible authorities. Otelinizde 29 mart - 3 nisan 2025 tarihleri arasındaki konaklamamızdan çok memnun kaldık. Check-in kolaydı ve görevli nazik ve yardımcıydı. Odamız temiz, geniş ve konforluydu. Odadaki imkanlar (kahve ve çay ikramları, ışıklandırma - odanın aydınlığı), otelin sessizliği hakkında çok memnun kaldık. Odamız her gün özenli bir şekilde temizlendi. Otel barındaki görevliler nazikti. Otelin konumu çok iyiydi. Tek eleştirim, odadaki televizyonun çok yer kaplaması ve odayı ikiye bölen bir konumda yerleştirilmiş olmasıydı. Bu yorumum tartışmalı olabilir; ancak günümüzde televizyonun çok gerekli olmadığını düşünüyorum. Nihayetinde, otelin konumu ve hizmetin kusursuz olması itibariyle bir sonraki Berlin seyahatimde kesinlikle otelinizi tekrar tercih ederim ve diğer kişilere öneririm.

Excellent Hotel and Staff

This hotel is 100% worth staying at. It is central to all the tourist sites, each one is about 20-30 mins walk from hotel. All easy reach. Location is perfect. Very quiet side street, safe, and if you want there is a Lidls round the corner, for snacks etc. On arrival the reception staff were very helpful, attentive and lovely. My shout out goes to Henry, because it was my husband’s birthday he did me really proud and my husband felt very special. The room, coffee machine (thank you Henry), special breakfast (thank you to the breakfast staff as well). You went over and above to make his trip memorable. All the staff were equally professional and attentive. The breakfast is full of choice’s, everything you can think of and sets you up for the day ahead. A couple of nights we went to the small and intimate bar, we enjoyed the pils!! You can get something to eat if you’re feeling peckish, and they do curry wurst!!! I had a baguette and it was just what I needed. The room we had was nice and roomy, a separate toilet to the shower room. We did have a balcony, lots of cupboard and drawer space. The bed was very comfy, I did ask for two extra pillows which was brought by house keeping. Can’t fault the room we were very comfy. We were only there for 4 days, we had an itinerary of what we wanted to do and see, used goggle maps a lot to get round. The buses are easy if you download the BVG app, the 100, 200, 300 buses do different circulars, one of them will stop at something you want to see or do, if your not able to walk to far. Taxis can be expensive, I was told to use Uber, but didn’t have the app, we needed one for one night. We actually walked back that night and felt quite safe. I can’t big this hotel up enough. Would I stay again, absolutely! Would I recommend it to someone else, 100%. Thanks to all the staff and a big hug for Henry! Everyone is really helpful, and nothing too much trouble. We will be back!!

Rude staff and poor communication in an otherwise nice hotel

The rooms are large and clean, and the breakfast is really nice. However, I had a somewhat rude encounter with a staff member upon check-out, and despite voicing my concerns in a private feedback, the hotel hasn't responded to me. Okay, it's not that big a deal, but what bothers me more now is the radio silence after two messages via two different platforms (direct email & official feedback form on accor.com). An apology would've been enough, but the lack of communication takes away from the experience, and therefore my rating.
