The hotel is well situated, the accommodation is good and the view is ok. I had a pleasant stay, I enjoyed my vacation, and I would suggest to consider Ibis for its location, friendly and relaxed environment. The staff were helpful, friendly and joyous. They assisted me during my stay and were always so helpful.

Good location. Small room. Comfy beds and pillows. Friendly staff especially Raul and the ladies in the restaurant. Breakfast ok but a bit repetitive. Tables not cleared until you’ve left which is a big irritation eating your breakfast with used dishes cluttering the tables. Is it a Dutch custom to add carrots to baked beans? Weird! Coffee is mediocre and my advice would be choose a double espresso and then fill a mug with hot water. Add the hot water to the espresso and add milk. Otherwise you’ll end up with a mug of foam if you choose cappuccino and the latte isn’t that nice. The biggest gripe is the room temperature cannot be controlled and never seemed to cool down. Reception a circular desk which made it unclear who was next in line. On the whole it was ok and nice friendly helpful staff who always acknowledged us and smiled.

Although our air cooling system typically maintains a pleasant environment, we regret that it did not meet your personal comfort level. We appreciate your constructive comments on our coffee offerings and the reception desk layout. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us to improve our guest experience. Nonetheless, we are pleased that our hotel's prime location contributed positively to your stay, allowing easy access to Amsterdam's famous Canal Ring and many other highlights. Regular Ibis, nothing special. Staff at the reception is quite busy and most likely you’ll be queuing if you arrive at the rush hour. Restaurant and breakfast are regular for a 3 star hotel - again, nothing special. At best the only problem is the constant smell of weed outside, but I believe this is the problem for entire Amsterdam.

Decent hotel in a decent location

Decent hotel and what you would expect. Quiet, clean, decent breakfast etc. 17 minutes walking to central station and 35 minutes walk to Anne Frank house. I would stay again if I came back. There are decent pubs and restaurants within 5 minutes walk and a supermarket on the block as well.

Ibis hotel Stopera very centrally located for all shops and bars and sightseeing, hotel nice but basic . Beware we stayed for 2 nights and tourist tax was 37 euros most expensive in Europe . Bars and restaurants pricey I myself thought and we had on two occasions to ask for change from drinks and a meal, drinks in dam square very pricey cheaper outside central areas . Supermarkets also add a tax on certain things you buy so if you see price add another euro on at till , my 4th visit to Amsterdam in 24 years and sadly won’t be returning due to their high rising prices!
