This hotel is the perfect location for being quite literally a 2 minute walk from the city centre, really great located. The hotel is super clean from the reception and bar to the room and corridors. All staff very friendly. Rooms - spotless! Small but, how much time are you spending in your room for it to matter? There was more than enough room and I travelled with my partner. The beds are HUGE which was a nice bonus. Bathrooms are shower only (no bath) which is something I couldn’t find online but suited us. We paid for a room with a view and while the view of the river is lovely, what they don’t tell you is is that it is directly above the train tracks. It seems that the trains start running really early in Amsterdam so there was lots of train noises, squeaking, and hustle blowing, shouting from the station from around 330 in the morning. That was the only downside to this room. We would 100% stay again but WOULD NOT pay for a room with a view due to the noise levels.

Allergies are ignored here, with the utmost of regard.Never been spoken to like this anywhere else.

We asked the concierge about allergies at breakfast and were nonchalantly told " i guess don't eat peanuts ". Absolutely awful behaiviour in situation which could quickly become life threatening. I am trying to seek out the proper legal assistance as this was such a ridiculous situation to find ourselves in a " modern society" Can't score zero, even when they put lives at risk.

First time for me in the Dam! Ibis was a lovely hotel. We went for an overnight trip for a friends hen do and I was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was so accessible from the train station, main town, right light district and the massive Primark. Was clean and tidy, friendly staff. The only down fall was no tea/coffee facilities oh and the train right outside our window! Apart from that it was great and would definitely go back and stay here

Had the most beautiful room. As I’m in a wheelchair and my friend uses a stick everywhere was fully accessible. Breakfast !! Was such a range of foods to choose from. Staff were super friendly, helpful and patient. Will be going back again 100%.

I stayed briefly at this hotel last year and decided to stay again this time, how glad I did. For a budget hotel you cannot fault it, the friendly welcoming staff and their supervisor, Marjan, made me immediately welcome, even saying as I checked in 'You've stayed before'. I realise it is on the screen, how nice to be welcomed with a comment! My room was on a higher floor with a great view along the river, a good size for a budget hotel, quiet, well appointed and as before a a really comfortable bed and pillows and duvet. Their breakfast buffet sets you up for the day, great choice and plenty to fill you up! Staffing at breakfast is well organised, you always get help if you are looking for something, generally you are asked if you are enjoying it, whether you need anything - friendly but not intrusive. Yes, it is a group hotel but in an ideal place, right by the main train, bus, metro and tram stations, easy walking distance straight into the heart of Amsterdam.
