Rooms are small , dark and claustrophobic. Poorly designed. Polar in design, some appreciate the quirkiness. But the service is this hotel is the worse that it gets, does not even deserve 1 star. The biggest problem is their KITCHEN - you go the restaurant at 9:15PM they say the kitchen is too full (not the restaurant), can’t take orders even though we open till 10PM. Ordered room service next day (supposed to be 24hours with a limited menu ) and in that also the Soup & Pizza were not available ? I mean seriously , this is a 4 star and priced decently. Couldn’t even get to speak with the GM, got adjusted with Carl (commercial manager- instead) Also, now that I look back at my account I see even the points credited for ALL are messed up, status points for only 1 room and not even equal to the amount paid. I do think the property intentions aren’t right at all and would definitely recommend skipping this hotel for the purpose of leisure- ALL members specially.

The staff are so helpful, friendly and professional. They are simply superb. The upgraded room was highly functional, clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant are extremely good. Situated a 12 minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal it would hard to beat. Trams run right out front and there are so many restaurants near by.

Terrific Location, Rooms are a little small

I spent three nights at the Ink Hotel and had a great time. This was my first time in Amsterdam and the location was perfect, less than a 10 minute walk from Central Station. Multiple tram stops are located near the hotel, but the heart of the city is within walking distance, such as Dam Square and the Canal Belt. I booked a deluxe room, which was 2 categories up from the base room, and it still felt somewhat small. The open-plan bathroom had the sink out in the room, with separate compartments for the toilet and shower. This layout could be an issue for a couple, if someone needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I loved the map of Amsterdam on the wall. The creator definitely had a great sense of humor. I spent a lot of time searching for the room safe. It wasn't placed in the closet (like most hotels), but in a compartment at the rear of the sink cabinet. As the hotel consists of multiple buildings joined together, you might have to go up or down a few steps to access your room. There was also an additional locked door separating my room and the one next door from the main corridor. My rate included breakfast, which was a standard buffet in the lobby restaurant. On my last morning, I wanted something different, and went to Mortimer's up the block. Their french toast was delicious and I always saw a line for a table. The hotel had a small gym, which I used once. There were mostly cardio machines and a few dumbbells. Staff at the front desk and in the restaurant were very friendly. I'd definitely consider staying here again, if I were back in Amsterdam.

Really lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend. Pros: The location is excellent. If you were to split the city in half, this hotel sits on the line. On one side is the old town (red light district) and on the other side, the quieter, more quaint district. Everywhere is easy to walk to. It’s also located on a quieter street, so you do not get the noise from the partygoers. The decor of the hotel is really modern and edgy; we especially loved the wall paper in the room and genuinely used it as our guide! The breakfast is as good as they say. Lots of options, most of which are healthier choices. Absolutely delicious. The staff we encountered were very kind and helpful. Love the reception area fruit water, to remind you to hydrate when you’re passing through. Negatives: Not many really; I didn’t personally feel that the room was the cleanest and the house keepers did not do a very good job. Didn’t replenish our coffee / tea bags / stirrers / water, and there were areas in the room you could see had never been cleaned, which was a little unpleasant. The toilet is not for those whom value their privacy. Glass door that leaves nothing to the imagination. My husband and I would take it in turns to leave the room when needed to give the other some privacy. The shower floor was quite slippy. An optional shower tray mat would be appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends, it’s a lovely little spot.
