Horrible, unclean and unsecure

We booked as was a cheap place to stay the night before our international flight. Staff were friendly and check in easy. First issue was there are no elevators and we had to carry 4 suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The whole place smelt musty and unclean. Room itself was dated and the linen on the bed also musty. Pillows were very thin, lumpy and synthetic with only 2 available. The duvet had no cover and was in need of a good bleach. The bathroom was dirty and there was a large hole directly above the shower which you could see into a large black void in the roof. I woke in the early hours to find our room door was open and the light from the hallway shining in. I am very security focused and know that it was definitely locked on our side before going to sleep. As it was very early in the morning when we checked out, there weren't any staff around to speak to about it. The experience left us feeling unclean and unsafe. I've stayed in many different places ranging from budget to 5 star and this was awful.

Refused Room Despite having booked

Booked a Day room only to be refused by the Assistant Manager who was rude and unhelpful. Told me that despit e booking that rooms were only provided if available and that tehy were full. When i asked why I had not been informed that they were full he just shrugged and said "it is what it is" Disgraceful service

Budget… yeah of course… but this place is lowest standard

So first of all… yeah it’s budget you expect (and usually) get the basics… that’s it. This place didn’t even check those boxes: unfriendly and less than helpful staff—- first room didn’t have functioning tv—- second room had defective aircon—-all week not a single visit from room service—- breakfast buffet… well let’s call it gas station sushi quality and quantity—- cleanliness not applicable—- showerhead defective— moldy wet area… I could go on.. but sure won’t come back

Suggest management review resourcing and set expectations of customer service and cleanliness standards

Stayed at the Budget Ibis, St Peters recently and while I understand that budget hotels come with a lesser quality standard of hotel when compared to other more expensive hotels, what I experienced was poor customer service and disgusting cleanliness. The lobby was visibly dirty and there was cigarette butts on the floor in front of the service desk. The kitchen /communal hand out area was also very dirty (think MacDonalds on the weekends after 12pm vibes). The bedroom was thankfully cleaner than reception however, smelt like cigarettes too. When i queried the receptionist/front desk attendant as to why none of my phone calls, voicemails or emails were answered as I had a query about check in and parking when I booked, i was advised that they were just busy. Recommend you to keep your money and go elsewhere. Ibis, St Peters has bad service and unclean.

I went there for my business trip. I got an excellent service from the staff. It was really worth it of staying there. I recommend this place everyone. You will not be disappointed with the hospitality. I will give 10 stars for everything. Cheers
