It's a budget hotel

You get what you pay for. It really is a budget hotel. It's clean and safe, good location but don't expect any thrills. An earlier review said it was in a "seedy" area. I think that's very unfair. Paris is a real city, it's not Disney Land, every corner can't be pretty. It's certainly not in a picturesque area but as I say, you get what you pay for. The Metro is under 10 mins away so you can be anywhere rather quickly.

Perfect cheap stay close to bus and metro. Very easy to find, and there are easy route to it that avoid the less nice areas. The rooms were comfortable and clean with personal sowers, toilets and even a tv. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Perfect for somewhere to sleep, which is all we wanted from our hotel

Terrible Service and Criminal Staff

Yesterday(16/11/2024) around 10am we left our room(225) of the Hotel Ibis Budget Paris Porte de Montmartre. We came back around 10pm and we noticed that the souvenirs we bought to our family were missing. We went to reception and they told they can’t do nothing and we had to wait till the morning of today(17/11/2024). When we went upstairs to our room we noticed that were missing more things. We noticed that a Sephora hand bag with a skincare kit, a photo of both of us and the souvenirs for our families were in the bag too. Even my dental retainer was gone. Today around 8am we went to the reception to try to solve the problem and they told us that we can’t have an answer. We had to leave in the morning to the airport and we ended up going to the police station to present a complaint. There’s no manager that can solve this kind of things at night and no one of the staff didn’t even tried to help. This is unacceptable. My girlfriend couldn’t even sleep at night because she was feeling very unsafe. I really don’t recommend this hotel. You can’t have your belongings in your room safely.

I found this hotel and decided to stay due to the price. But unfortunately, it could be better. The location is ok if you don't mind to walk a bit to reach the metro station. The neighborhood is nice, if you like to explore non-touristic areas it will be a good walk for you. But the room is not that comfortable, the bathroom and toilet are very small and I felt weird taking a bath there. I don't recommend it for a long stay.

Excellent value for money for the budget traveler.

This is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. Location for me was fine and it is within walking distance of two or three metro lines. Check in quick and efficient. Lifts good. Coffee machine makes very good coffee actually. Room was a bit worn and needs a refresh but cleaned to a height standard and quite comfortable. The supervisor was busy I noticed checking standards. Shower was very good. I would stay again. If it’s value for money for a night or two the. This is a good option. Breakfast was quite limited but was sufficient for coffee and croissants toast and fruit with cheese.
