This Ibis budget is tired and worn out. It is in desperate need of modernisation to bring it to the standard of the other Ibis Budget hotels I've stayed in recently.

After reading some of the of the other reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. However I just needed a cheap hotel for one night. Ultimately I’m not sure what some people expect from a budget hotel given the reviews, but this was perfect given what I paid. I’m arriving the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was small but clean and the bed comfortable. I slept well and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. There’s not a lot more to say, if you want a cheap, friendly, clean hotel near Calais and Dunkirk ferry terminals then look no further.

Staff and breakfast excellent. Room basic but clean though smell of cigarettes. Bathroom ok but shower very cramped to point of being uncomfortable to use.

Noisy with disappointing breakfast

We were kept awake by an extremely noisy sports group who were not spoken to by the managers living in the nearby room. The breakfast had bitter (longtime made) COLD coffee, the cake and brioche bread was stale, the cold water and the kettle water were not replenished. In this stay, we introduced friends to Ibis Budget so were gutted by the disappointing experience. Staff were young, friendly and welcoming but need to be aware of customers’ needs.

I am sure the staff are great and the effort to keep the place clean and tidy is enormous, but the structure requires a major uplift and the guests keep smoking cigarettes in their rooms, making the place rather miserable.
