Excellent choice in a very expensive town - when I comes to hotel prices. This hotel is 10 min walk from the center of town and it's located on top of the hill - so the views from the rooms over the lake is gorgeous. Valet parking is 40 NZD - but you won't find it cheaper anywhere in town. Our room was absolut great with huge bed -one of the best in our trip . Breakfast is very fine - with a lot of choices and great coffee. No need to look anywhere - this is a great place.

One of the best hotels we stayed in New Zealand. Very high service standard, spacious and clean rooms as well as a very beautifully decorated lobby. Don't consider staying anywhere else in Queenstown!

We’ve stayed before at St Moritz M Gallery and we were hoping that this stay would be just as good as our previous ones. The hotel did not let us down! We were greeted warmly at reception and given a beautiful welcome drink and ice cold towel. They also upgraded us to a suite as per our Accor status - thank you very much! The suite was well laid out and had a feeling of quiet luxury with its quality fittings, luxury linens, smell and ambience. The bed was firm and so comfortable to sleep in. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and highly recommend the seafood fettuccine, it was divine! We love staying at St Moritz M Gallery and would happily recommend others!

Well presented hotel, disappointing restaurant

I was allocated a wonderful suite on the fifth floor overlooking the lake - the view was unbeatable. The room itself was luxurious with everything you need; the daily housekeeping was done to a very high standard. There is a very small gym which I used - thankfully no one else was in there. The safe broke during my stay, but reception were very helpful and came up and fixed it within 5 minutes. I had lots of activities booked in Queenstown during my stay which meant the only time I ever used any other part of the hotel was at breakfast. And what a massive let down this was. There are virtually no healthy options. When I tried to engage staff about getting something more substantial, such as the room service fruit platter which I could see being brought from the kitchen - I was dismissed saying that wasn’t available to guests in the buffet. The only coffee available was from an urn - I was told that a barista coffee should have been offered. It wasn’t on either days I dined there. Following a complaint to reception I was given many apologies, told it wasn’t reflective of their high standards, and breakfast would be much improved the following day. Unfortunately the offering and service remained unchanged. The hotel did remove the breakfast charge from my room rate - I acknowledge the gesture with gratitude, but would have preferred not to have had to raise a complaint in the first place (and have a great breakfast). For me all the pros of this hotel were diminished by a badly managed restaurant. Should I have a subsequent stay in Queenstown I'm afraid it won't be at the St Moritz.

I stayed at the St Moritz for two nights and it was very very good! Amazing vies, very comfortable room, easy access to many restaurants and shops Only drawbacks- walking up the hill to get back to the hotel. Would I go back there! Definitely! This will be my “go to” the next time I’m in Queenstown!
