great location, wonderful views amazing staff and food The hotel is back to its best with super friendly, international staff, an outstanding Restaurant, amazing views, and super comfortable beds. This is our hotel of choice in Queenstown. thanks team for making jackie and i feel so welcome … again. thanks also for nice upgrade has personal hot tub due to painting being done and our other room not available .

The hotel advertises stunning views, we booked a 5 star suite and it is in a subterranean basement looking onto a grotty concrete wall. Very disappointed- there are far better places in Queenstown, with fantastic views.

Staff were great, facilities great but a very steep hill to return to the hotel after a walk around the city! Also, be careful what room you get, whilst some have spectacular views, we ended up with a view of a concrete retaining wall and the driveway of their car park!!

We stayed in Room 631 and had the adjoining room in 629. Stunning view and the staff handled the boiling of the water problem very well, however I would have loved a bottle of water beside my bed to take with me. For a 5 star hotel though, our check in was confusing and the staff member even had to come up to our room to get us to sign the credit card authorisation for our room as they couldn’t understand we had two rooms. I don’t know if there was a language barrier or they we just super busy as we were part the the Master Electricians conference from Australia. It would have been nice to be offered help with our bags and given a map or something else upon check in. When I went up to the room, I was wanting to make a cup of tea, but you have to ask for milk to be put in your fridge. I found this unusual. As it is elevated for the views, walking up and down to the city centre can be difficult for those with mobility problems. We found a way though - you turn left out of the hotel and walk to the back entrance of the Q1 building. Take the elevator to level 8. Then walk left down and hallway to Rydges. This will take you out on to the road and no massive hill to walk up and down. Obviously, staffing is still an issue after COVID as there was a shortage of staff on the bar. If you ordered a cocktail, it would take ages as only one person was on serving everyone. Check out was brilliant with the lovely lady on reception being able to email me our itemised invoice from both rooms.

An Accor Hotel, as premium members, were were a little disappointed with their lack of attention to detail. Every other high quality hotel we have stayed with in the Accor group have been able to pay attention to the details and made us feel exceptionally welcome.
