Can see why this hotel is not in the top 25 Shocking service stayed 4 nights we had to ask fir our room to be service Food over priced even for QT standards too over 45 minted to get a burger!!! Breakfast is a shambles !!!! food cold tasteless snd empty plates scattered across tables Bay-mare many options empty

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast buffet. We had to change our reservation due to issues with our flight and the hotel was very accommodating. Nicely located to Shotover St and superb views of the lake. Sufficient parking, too. Only drawback was the boiled water directive in Queenstown, but that was hardly the hotel's fault.

The view from the lakeside view room is to die for The views from the bar and restaurant are amazingly beautiful Hotel room was nice and comfortable Only there one night Enjoyed few Car Parking Dinner was nice Breakfast was average in my opinion The outdoor hot tubs were great to be able to relax in Location for the views is excellent but little far to walk to town for me anyway

We stayed at the Mercure in both late-August and September at the start and end of our holiday to New Zealand. The hotel is a little drive out of the town centre... theoretically, a pleasant 7 minute drive around the lake, however, the Queenstown city council, in its infinite wisdom, has replaced several roundabouts with traffic lights, and this is currently causing terrible traffic jams in and out of town. Both times we stayed, the rooms were spacious and comfortable with stunning views. Staff were friendly and helpful. On several occasions, we drank at the bar, which was pleasant, moderately priced, and with another stunning view during the day. The bar snack menu of pizzas, burgers, and fries were suited to apres skiers. We ate dinner at the Vista restaurant, which was very good and priced at the high end of our dining experiences. Parking was not a problem compared to finding a car park in central Queenstown... my advice is to catch an Uber for the $10-$15 price tag... definitely worth it. We would recommend the Mercure.

Winter Extra Long Weekend

Extra long weekend to celebrate Birthday. Beautiful location overlooking water and snow capped mountains. Checkin efficient, though missing usual hotel information/ welcome. Discovered later staff were from another property helping out for staff could have a get together. Bar staff from Novotel - Tristan was amazing managing bar/restaurant. Remained calm and in control. Even managed to notice guests outside, rushing out to take photo for them. Truly he was a pleasure. Seating in restaurant, booked as requested and even better near a heating vent 😆 I’m always cold. Hotel was good, a little on pricey side. Was worth waking up to the mountains. Quick 15min walk to town, though on return back taxi/Uber needed to tackle the hill. Breakfast had a wide selection, care needed to ensure food was filled- there was a lag in food availability. The view of course was fantastic while you waited. Lucky to get window seating each time. Reception were always asking how our day was on our return. Overall an enjoyable stay.
