This is one of the high end hotels along the shores of the Lake in Queenstown. It's worth every penny. We stayed for 6 nights. The balcony rooms overlooking the lake are spacious, well-appointed, and you get the best views in town. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. The in-house restaurant (Lombardi) also is terrific. Quick 5 minute walk down the hill from the property and you're in CBD. I'm sure there are no end of great reviews for this place but I'll add another. Highly recommended.

It’s a great location but to get the views you need to pay good money Otherwise you stare at walls or the walkway The reception area is luxurious and welcoming, staff really lovely and welcomes you with a welcome drink Just know that the rooms don’t really have air conditioning. Theres a long story and spill about it in the room and you are supplied with 2 fans to cool down when the days get hot We were lucky today because the sun was shining but it meant that it was quite hot in the room when we arrived But everything else what you’d expect from a luxury style hotel Hot tubs available but the location is a little odd being hidden behind bushes so did not entice me into using them even though it would have been nice after we did the Milford track

The room cleanliness was of a very high standard and the breakfasts were tasty and well presented. Couple of things let it down 1) no Aircon in the room, even though a fan was provided it was noisy 2) From the main harbour the walk back to the hotel was very steep and would not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

You're right - many of our rooms don't have air conditioning as for the most part, our Alpine climate means we don't need it. I'm sorry though that you experienced a warmer stay, and that you were a little uncomfortable. We are a short walk from town, thank you for mentioning the hill for other travelers as we understand some guests would find it more challenging to walk up. I'm glad that overall you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Excellent service from all staff you were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautiful, very well decorated with stunning views of the lake. Breakfast was delicious as were the cocktails the night before! The bedroom was supplied with a Dyson fan which was very helpful in the warm weather. Super comfy bed with pillow menu. Would definitely recommend 👌

I spent a few days at the St. Moritz Hotel in Queenstown. The hotel delivers the quality of services and products it promises without any negative surprises. However, last Saturday, around 8 pm, there was a small fire in the room right next to my, which led to a full evacuation of the hotel for a few hours. I’d like to emphasize that, apart from the flawless operation of the fire safety system, the hotel staff handled the situation absolutely perfectly. I was very impressed by how all safety protocols were followed and by the care and concern shown for all guests. At every moment, it was clear how well-trained and professional the team is. I want to congratulate the hotel management and the entire team for their professionalism and unwavering focus on the guests. You were perfect!
