Fantastic weekend with the fam

Very nice hotel, quiet for the center of paris, easy parking, close to the subway. We stayed for a weekend (to short) with our kids. Rooms were small but clean, no minibar but when we asked the reception they put some soda's in the fridge, water can be filled into a bottle or paper cups in the hall by the elevators. Breakfast was delicious. Nice rooftopbar with a view on the Eiffel tower, a little on the expensive side but to be expected. Staff was very friendly.

Great Residential Neiborhood, just near the Subway

We stayed there for seven nights, and had a pleasant time. Our room had a partial sight of the Eiffel Tower, it was clean, confortable, and the front desk staff was nice with our requests. It is less than a block from a subway station (Line 12), and I suggest you use it to get to the turistic area. I would reccomend this place to a friend.

Unfriendly rip off

The hotel staff were rude and not friendly at all, which is ok however we stayed for a weekend and they did not clean our room, replace towels or even make the bed and when asked about it replied there was an item of clothing on the bed so it was too messy to clean, they then proceeded to charge us £50 because there was make up on a towel.. honesty not a great location and overall experience wouldn’t recommend

Dear Alana, I am sorry that your stay did not bring you full satisfaction because of the cleaning fee. However, like our Reception explained it to you, the Room was too messy and too dirty to be quickly cleaned up (and that is not due to one item of clothing on the bed only). When several sheets and towels are permanently stained, it is only normal to be charged for extra cleaning/replacement genered. Clean Rooms and Friendly Staff

Stayed here on a trip to Paris. Staff were very friendly and the rooms clean and tidy. There is a lovely coffee shop on the ground floor and nice restaurants if you decide to stay in for dinner. The roof top bar/restaurant in my opinion was a bit of an anti climax. Service was terribly slow as we waited 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive, that was after I went up to the bar to order and was told that orders are taken at the table. This bar is also ver expensive at 12€ for a pint of beer 7€ for a half pint of beer and 7€ for a glass of coke. Certainly very pricey for a mediocre view of the Eiffel Tour. Would definitely not recommend going to the 7th floor bar. Other than that I can highly recommend the hotel as it is in a great location with some nice restaurants and bakeries in walking distance and the metro station only a 2 minute walk away.

An unpleasant experience with the receptionist

This afternoon, around 1:30 Pm when I was sitting comfortably at the lounge on the ground floor of the Novotel hotel Vaugirard. A lady from the reception came and told me to leave and go to the cafe area, which I understood and would do as told. However, when she told me to leave, she did not ask the others (who also brought drinks to the hotel's lounge area at the same time as me) so I had to tell her I felt a bit uncomfortable when she treated me like that. Then she asked all of us to leave. I mean, if she had been fair from the beginning, asking if everyone was staying here or not and politely requiring us all to leave, I wouldn’t have felt so disappointed by the service (I thought: Was she judging people by their appearance before asking them to leave?). You know how people feel when they are discriminated and mistreated, right. She did not even say sorry or explained why she did that. I love Novotel anyway except for that experience.

I can garantee you that it was in no way spiteful and that she did speak to other people waiting in the lobby, which is made for our hotel guests whilst we have a coffeeshop available for everyone. Rest assured that we will work on our communication so that there is no more misunderstandings in the future.
