HARDY'S VERANDAH RESTAURANT

Built in 1852 for Arthur Hardy, the house was his summer residence, but it also became a venue for the most lavish parties. Today, the space has been transformed into SA's top restaurants true to the house's tradition of refinement, elegance and opulence.

Our recent stay at Mount Lofty House was an absolute delight. I fear that no other hotel will ever be able to match our experience at this superb place. The house, gardens, ambiance and, most importantly, the staff made our time so relaxing and enjoyable. Is there a perfect hotel in the world? Yes, we just found it (but don’t tell anyone!).

From the moment we arrived to celebrate our anniversary, we were treated like VIPs. The facilities, staff and food were all the very best we have experienced from any hotel previously. I can’t say enough to express our appreciation to the team at Mt Lofty House.

We felt like royalty with the service and friendliness at Mount Lofty House. From the opulent room to the food and wine pairing there was nothing but lasting fond memories. Spoil yourself for a night or two, or three, and definitely visit the local sights. We will return!

From driving up and being greeted with a warm smile from the concierge, grabbing your bags, and whisking them to our suite. As you check in a welcome drink and the reception, make sure that you have made reservations at the 1 of 2 exclusive restaurants. Our suite was amazing, including the view over the Mt Lofty Ranges. The cookies on arrival The fridge is replenished with spring water every day. The room and amenities are 1st rate down to the pillow selection. The bed was fantastic. The room was super quiet. Attention to detail and a great yoga class most mornings. After being out all day to come back to an absolute 1st rate meal with every bite, it was a wonderful experience. We did a wine master-class and tasting. This was 1 of the many highlights. Breakfast is an absolute treat and fills you up for the morning. We stayed 4 nights and wish it was many more. Thank you to all the management and staff. We WILL be back soon.
