Great vacation at Mercure Hurgada

We spent ten days in June 2024 at Mercure Hurgada Hotel and I can say that we had really good time here. Rooms are clean and spacious, food was really good for a 4-star hotel and stuff is polite and friendly. There was enoguh sunbeds on the beach even if you come at 11 am, so there was not tension about the sunbeds we were used to from another all-inclusive hotels. We had no complaints at all, and we plan to return.

We have visited Mercure for the seven time since 2021. We love it's architecture and beautiful gardens full of flowers and trees. The room are spacious, clean and well equipped. They have pool and a sea view. Both versions are good option, but the sea view is definitely more enjoyable. You can really have a good rest and sleep well in this hotel. It's not noisy and all entertaining programs end at 11 pm latest. The restaurant is clean, staff very polite and the choice if food is very good for each and different taste. The sandy beach is very nice and huge, with comfortable sunbeds and a beautiful coral reef. You can see ray, lionfish, stone fish, Murina, etc. It is suitable for kids, adults as well as older people. The reception staff is very professional, they are kind, helpful and always try to solve an issue or help as much as they can in order to make your stay a pleasant one. We really have the best words for Mr. Hisham at the reception desk, as well for Mr. Mahmoud, and Ghadeer GR she is very helpful and always smiling one of the restaurant managers. Because of their attitude and kindness we would always come back. We have all recommendations for the Mercure hotel and will definitely come back again. May, June and November are favourable, but you will enjoy any time you come to Egypt.

This was our second time on Mercure Hurghada, our last experience from the last year, on 2023, was really good and we no problems at all. Comparing with the 2023 we could see some really nice improvements, specially with the food from the restaurants, have more variety and more flavor. And also the experience with the Italian and Oriental restaurantes were really nice. The only down side with the food, is that on the pool bar, there was no more fries and pizza. The hotel infrastructure is also amazing, the pools are nice and big, and the sea is really nice as well. But this time we had some problems regarding the transportation from/to airport. We made the reservation for the transportation with the hotel, and due my loyalty with All, there were no charges, really nice surprise. The problem begin when we arrived and the driver was not there waiting for us, I had to call to the hotel and we wait like 45 minutes. Once arriving to the hotel, we were going to receive an upgrade to an sea view room, but was not ready at the moment and we should come back in one hour. As we did, we came back and once again we were told to give more time. They made me come back to the reception like 4 times and all the times I was told to wait more time. We were so tired for didn't sleep that day, the biggest issue is not the set the right expectative since the beginning and telling the true that the room was not available and was not ready. In the end, we just got a family room with side pool view. One day before our check-out, I went to check if the transportation was all set for the airport, as we had our flight on 6:55 AM, and they confirmed that was ok. On the day, we went to the reception and the driver was not there, and for our surprise, the driver was not going to show. Mostafa from the reception on the check-out tried to find the driver, but we had to ask an Uber for we didn't miss the flights. We get so upset for that situation. Despite of this huge headache on the check in and check out problems and the driver was not there, we still enjoyed our vacation and that is for the staff inside the hotel. They made the difference and they was the factor of not giving a worse score. I would to like a few special people that made this difference. Hesham Abbas from the restaurante, always treating us really nice and made us feel welcomed and special. Abdalnasr from the pool bar, Medhat from Azura bar and a few other deservers all the recognition. Also special thanks to the Funfly team that give wonderful experience with water activities, they are also a factor for we come back. Thanks to our dive master Oscar and the boat team. Also special thanks for Yasser, that was ready to help us with anything we need. The team is really patience and lovely.

I’ve stayed for a week with a friend. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It’s well-maintained, food is delicious, entertainment is fun. There are so many activities, it never gets boring. Especially Rose as part of the animation team did a great job.
