I feel like calling this a 4 star hotel is a little ambitious. It’s not a 4 star hotel and definitely need strong improvements with cleaning and maintenance.. The hotel could be going thru renovations but our room was disgusting. Mold on the shower faucet, deteriorating water faucet, yellow stains on the shower drain area, carpet has so many stains and was not vacuumed. The hallway had wallpaper peeling and mold growing. I really did like the kids area, the breakfast area and drink/bar but the rooms itself was just disgusting. My husband had mentioned the shower mold and someone came to clean it at 1030pm. He said it was just water rings but no one cleaned it for a while. No apologies or anything, lady brushed it off like it’s no big deal from the front desk Seriously for the price this place cost, these things should not be called out by the customer. The cleaning team/manager was screaming at her staff…I had two kids with me and they were wondering what all the commotion was. The location is absolutely wonderful and very accessible to the city with train or bus but hotel itself is a mess. The hotel has potential though and would be really good families but I do not plan to come back to this specific location especially for the price we paid and what we got. Can’t wait to go home and take a clean & proper shower!

Great first visit to London

We stayed 5 nights and selected the hotel based on the location mainly. We like to walk and found it to be well suited to our needs. We dined at the bar several nights, the meals were good and we were very happy with the cocktail specials 2 for 15 pounds. The room was great, a very comfortable bed and we appreciated the Nespresso machine as we did the filtered bottled water available on our floor. Staff were attentive and friendly. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel during our 3 night trip to London. We booked it so we were central to what we wanted to see in London and is within walking distance to landmarks such as big Ben and houses of Parliament. We also wanted a secure car park so we could leave the car and walk or uber everywhere, which we got. Upon entry to the car park, you have gates, a barrier and shutters, and you recieve a ticket from the machine which needs to be validated by staff before you can leave so the car park feels very secure. After parking the car, we took the lift upto the main hotel. Don't judge the hotel by the basement car park, the carpets down there don't look very clean but once you get to the main hotel its completely different. The reception area is immaculate and looks posh. We did have a bit of trouble checking in as we had paid for the car park and breakfast for our entire stay but it wasnt coming up for some reason. Also our first morning it didn't come up again that we had paid, its just computers being computers though and the staff were very helpful in sorting it out. We were in room 520 and had a great view of London. We had a fridge which we used to store items we brought with us and a nespresso machine with 4 pods (this was refilled by cleaners every day), there was also a kettle and tea, coffee and sugar packets. We were surprised to find a dressing gown each and slippers, though for a large dressing gown it felt more like a medium and sadly wasnt very soft, but they were handy to have to chill in the morning. I found the room to be quite spacious, it had a sofa, a very comfortable bed (I did find the pillows too soft, but that's a personal preference as I prefer firm pillows) and a desk and chair. The carpet did look a little patchy in places, possibly could do with a new one but its nothing major. I did notice in the bathroom there was a button which made it so you could see people on the other side of the glass and they could see you, me and my husband found it quite humorous but couldn't work out why that would be there, it seemed an odd thing to do. Also I didn't shower and had strip washes only as the shower tray didn't have any grip and became very slippery once wet. There was a sign saying mats were available upon request, but I didn't see that until the last day as it was placed on the mirror and you couldn't see it very well so I missed it. Breakfast had a great selection of food, it was all you can eat style and could choose from things like cooked breakfast, cereal, toast, platter bits, fruit and yoghurt and croissants etc. The only down side was the juices were out of machines, this is the first hotel we have stayed at where the juice wasn't fresh but its not a deal breaker. The bar is open until 11pm which we sat in each night after our London adventures. Their prices are on par with the rest of London so not cheap, however, they did have 2 cocktails for £15 or 2 mocktails for £10 which i took full advantage of as it worked out cheaper. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and helpful at recommending a cocktail or mocktail if you're unsure. Although a few small niggles, we did have a lovely stay. The air con worked lovely and if you closed the window it was deadly silent which was nice. We've already said if we come back to London, this would be the hotel we stay in.
