Cheap for a reason

It’s cheap for a reason if you are ok with dank smelling rooms snot on the bathroom tiles and urine pooling at the bottom of the toilet.

Central location, comfortable hotel

Very pleased with this hotel, up to the expected Ibis city hotel standard. 24 hour reception desk manned, the reception staff helped us when we needed a taxi to the airport, provided a map of the city so we could walk down to the harbour to catch a ferry to Fremantle. Our room was spacious enough to cope with luggage. The table and chairs were appreciated, just to sit and have a coffee whilst reading or watching TV. Of interest, there are guest laundries on three floors of the hotel, not just one laundry room! We stayed here overnight in Aug and September, on our way to and from the UK. It’s a great stopover hotel.

We booked 4 king rooms 6 months ago, However, inky 3 King rooms available and 1 Queen room. Very unhappy with yr arrangement. The front desk knew about it and did not find clean until we went up to the room. We had to confront them rather than they taking initiative to offer a similar or better room as service recovery. The rooms are basics and updated. Bathroom is totally a let down. The shower area was poorly designed. Water kept flooding out. The bathroom floor was so wet after each shower. The breakfast was pretty decent; don’t expect changes. The spread does not change at all.

Hotel offers a clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodation option in a prime location of the city. Its proximity to shopping hubs and transport links makes it an excellent place for exploring the city. While the rooms are compact and the hotel's amenities provide good value for travelers, staff at the reception are expected more approachable. However, the girls at the reception desk were really helpful and welcoming.

Clean, tidy and recent renovation

Stayed for one night with the family. Seven of us in total. The rooms were on level 2. All the rooms had been renovated and were very clean. The air conditioner controls were still old however the air conditioning worked very well. Please be mindful of the sensor control light in the storage/hanging space - took us a little bit of time to figure out how to turn off haha. Otherwise we found the rooms to be great for what you pay for. The Rubix restaurant and bar was a great little place to chill, have some drinks and watch the world go by on Murray street. The staff in the bar were amazing, great service and very friendly. Breakfast was ok, had all the usual items you would have at a small buffet breakfast. Overall the recent renovation has delivered a modern, clean and vibrant uplift to the hotel. The renovations have not finished so please be mindful that the works are continuing. The hotel location is good, and within 5-10 minute walk to the Perth underground train station, the main shopping malls, RAC arena and Yagan square.
