A pleasant stay

I have had several short stays at this hotel. The staff have always been very friendly. The hotel is in a good, quiet, city location & close to bus transport. There is only a short walk to the Swan River & Elizabeth Quay. Clean, modern rooms. Feniens Irish Pub is great for a few drinks and the pub food is good. Limited car parking onsite is available but not guaranteed.

I booked for 5 nights as a single occupant with breakfast included. My son joined me on my trip and the Front desk said that breakfast for two was included when I checked in. My son and I had breakfast on 4 mornings, nothing was said or nothing was signed by me for breakfast. I go on the eve of checkout and ask if I could check out the following morning, I was told that they charged me for 2 days' breakfast. I could not fathom why they would charge for 2 days instead of 4 without telling me or getting anything signed. Then the Front desk made it appear as if they were doing me a favour by waiving the charge and I could have only one breakfast on Day 5. In addition to that, a) the Reception or Housekeeping never answered calls which means you have to go down to the Reception and request anything you want b) the Hotel does not provide water bottles in the room. One has go down to the Ground floor and fill up your water bottle. They had this 'out of order' sign for 4 days out of the 5 we spent there (photo attached). c) No dental kit was provided in the room and I had to go down to Reception to request one. Overall a very forgettable experience. I would have awarded zero stars if there was an option...STAY AWAY.

Unfortunately, a run-down place that is the worst Novotel that I have experienced in my 30+ years of travel and 25 years of being an Accor member. The hotel urgently needs refurbishment and upgrade. In its current state it does not deserve the name Novotel and should be called Ibis at max.

Hotel in the heart of the city, close to bus stops staff were friendly and helpful, fast check in and asked if i could be on a higher floor and they accommaded my needs. Rooom was neat, clean, if i had to stay here again. Only down fall is the hotel is near a big hill, so choice carefully to avoid walking up the hill.

A bad nights sleep

This hotel is in a convenient position and we enjoyed the on site pub meal after our arrival. We hoped to have a good rest before setting off on a widflower tour the next day. On reaching our room on the 4th floor we were confronted with a booming noise coming from the air circulation system. The air on was not on. I went to reception and informed them and the young man came to the room and assured us he would get maintenance to attend. That was the end of the response! Hence we had little sleep and even with the use of airline provided ear plugs I could hear the noise . After listening to music most of the night we managed a little nap. NOT GOOD ENOUGH ACCOR. We have spoken to others with similar experience at this hotel.. We try to use your hotels and with only one other exception have been more than happy with the standard.
