First trip the reception was not busy but no interest in serving a gold member at the priority check in. Second time was a little friendlier. Not once in staying have I received the gold benefit of upgrade, its not even mentioned whereas other hotels that seems quite a priority and the welcome gift is water when I would happily drink from the tap as a local WA girl. The location is good but the Irish pub downstairs while says open till 11pm on Saturdays called last drinks at 9pm.

4 Stsr Hotel with Budget Service

We stayed 3 nights and had booked 2 rooms through Booking.com. the room was spacious, and the location was excellent. But unfortunately one room encountered several issues, and the worst was when we found the toilet faulty. The front desk staff came over to see to it but was unable to resolve it. Instead of offering a change of room which any other 4 star hotel would do, he instead advised us on how to cope with the problem. This was really unacceptable, and we insisted on a room change. We finally got a new room after midnight. This was truly stressful for us. But what is puzzling is Booking.com charged an additional A$204 without any explanation for this reservation. I have sent them an email and have yet to receive a response.

Shocking experience

The bar had one employee serving food, drinks and cleaning tables. Unbelievable! The party in the room below until 5am made it impossible to sleep. Reception did nothing. All the elevators were out of order in the morning making a 9 floor walk to reception with a suitcase a nightmare. The outgoing receptionist didn’t care nor listen.

The room needs a full makeover. See photos. Cracked basin leaking water on floor, shower far too low, huge toilet cistern with no fuel flush, water damaged ceiling. Welcome drinks only after 5pm when bar open? Or go to pub next door. Staff all courteous and helpful.

We have been coming to the Novotel for approximately 20 years . It a good location and the hotel itself is clean , the staff are friendly. Our room was basic but was fine . The parking is expensive so we parked on the street near the hotel . Paid approx $10 from around 4.40pm to 6pm then it free until Monday am . We were only staying one night . We didn’t have the breakfast . We went to a great Thai restaurant nearby and had a great meal there . We miss having the spa on the top level of the hotel. There is a chill out seated area there now not super comfortable but the views are nice if you stand up . It above the gym . Overall it fine for a nights getaway .
