We booked this hotel due to its location to the Stadium for a concert we were attending. It looks really grand as you walk into the lobby, staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, Parking was 20 Euros per day, however we were told about a discount which made it 20 euros for our stay of 4 nights. Parking is downstairs and secure. There were many signs around apologising for work being done. Our room was level 5 it felt quite gloomy and very old fashioned. Our room was nice enough, there was a nice size bathroom, although the shower was problematic and we had to guess if our head or body would be sprayed with freezing cold water. There was constant banging, drilling and work noises until 6:30 each day, even on weekends. I certainly wouldn't have booked this hotel had we known. We had issues with our key card, they tried to blame our phone, or security in the concert, (we hadn't taken it out the car) each time we went to the room the card wouldn't work. We had to have around 10 cards reproduced during our stay. The staff we charming, it was nice hotel, but it could be much better.

I cannot recommend this hotel. It’s faded glory, old, badly maintained rooms from 50 years ago that do not cater to the modern traveller—no work desk (no place to put your laptop), let alone sockets to charge your laptop, smartphone and tablet. On top of that, Pullman and the Novotel next door have limited the minimum temperature of the air conditioning to 27 degrees Celsius. Yes, you read that correctly: the minimum temperature. The only way to get it below that is opening the window, and then enjoy the loud party vibes from the Novotel next door. So you either open the windows and use ear plugs, or you sleep in a sauna all night. Their room cards fail all the time. I had to get new ones about twice a day, even while I carefully kept them away from my smartphone. Horrible old technology. The restaurant: if you order a starter and a main course, you will get both at the same time. This faded glory hotel does not even know the proper etiquette, as they effortlessly combine all the bad things from 50 years ago with horrors of the modern day. To make the horridness complete, they started working with loud drilling machines and other equipment every morning from 9 hours onwards. So by the time the temperature in your room gets somewhat bearable, they rudely wake you up. I’ll give it to them: when trying to give you the worst time possible, they’re perfectionists. Avoid this hotel—and the Novotel next door—especially in the summer time (unless you like to be in a sauna 24/7), and check if other hotels in Madrid have this same 27 degrees Celsius minimum policy before you book them.

Room in disrepair, our 3rd floor sun facing room never got below 80 degrees during the day. Food at dining area excellent Staff excellent and safety top notch! We stayed for one week also no adjoining rooms, hotel phones do not appear to be capable of calling roof to room (minor) pool closed due to lack of chemicals

Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel. It is old and tired looking with poor facilities. The pool was not open - as expected for the dates I was there, but had been left to fester and was full of green sludge. The WIFI generally did not work. The air conditioning was not turned on and I was told it could not be turned on until the outside temperature was over 27 degrees. My room was 28 degrees and the website states that there is air con. Staff were adamant that the air con would not be turned on and I was told to go outside if I was to hot. The fan also stopped working in the gym and I was told that I was welcome to go and use a gym in another hotel!

No Water, No Electricity, Too Hot To Sleep

We spent the last night without water or electricity and the hotel staff wasn't apologetic in any way whatsoever. When we returned to our room around 11pm there was no water to shower. Later, the electricity was cut off and never came back on before we checked out at 11am. No apologies for the inconveniences were ever offered and the only accommodation made was to give us 2 bottles of water. The other two nights of our stay were marked by sleepless nights due to the heat inside the rooms. The hotel isn't allowed to set the air conditioning to less than 80 degrees Farenheit (27 C) and there are no fans in the rooms. Nobody in our family could sleep in this heat. I recommend finding an AirBnB or vacation rental where you can set the air to what you want or open your windows, enjoy the cool evening, and get some sleep. I do NOT recommend staying here and will not stay at any ALL hotel in spain.
