Great Option for MAD Airport

It's an Ibis, do not expect luxury, but you can count on everything else one needs for a comfortable stay. It’s a 15min walk from Airport terminals 1, 2 & 3 exit, or a 5 minutes taxi ride. It’s recently renovated, clean, rooms are spacious enough, silent and everything works. Internet works good, restaurant serves decent meals. The best on the hotel: the team! All team members I interacted with, shown motivation, a positive attitude and knowing how to communicate with a customer. Wouldn’t hesitate in book it again on an overnight or even on a day stay.

After a few weeks around Iberia, I was looking for a place to stay near the Madrid Barajas airport that was (a) clean and comfortable, (b) reasonably priced, and ideally, (c) not a totally depressing airport hotel that would end my trip on an off note. This hotel was just right. It's big (well over 100 rooms), but it's clean and modern. The room was small and low frills, but well lit and clean. All the prices are clearly stated (including early check-in, late check-out, onsite parking, etc.), clearly catering to the airport crowd. There are some decent looking, fairly priced food options in the hotel, but the surrounding neighborhood turns out to be surprisingly pleasant and walkable, and I actually had one of the nicer meals of my trip at a restaurant a few blocks away. Not exactly a destination hotel, but I'd enthusiastically stay here again before a flight.

You read that correctly: breakfast at the Ibis Madrid Aeropuerto Barajas starts at 4 A.M. Can I tell you how many hotel breakfasts we’ve missed because of early flights and hotels that don’t start serving until 6, 6:30, 7, or unbelievably, even later? And what a great breakfast this is. They have everything you could possibly imagine or want, both hot and cold, including eggs, bacon, different breads (and very high-end toasters I immediately put on my personal wish list), fruit, cereals, you name it. The hotel is in a pleasant and quiet neighborhood with at least ten good restaurants located within easy walking distance, as well as grocery stores and cafes. The building doesn’t have much curb appeal, but once inside we were greeted by a very friendly and professional staff who welcomed us into the bright, upbeat, and vibrant lobby. The lobby has a cute lounge, a bar, pinball machines, and many books in different languages for you to borrow during your stay. It is also pet-friendly. The room itself was basic, but clean and comfortable, with a roomy bathroom. The bathroom lighting is awful and unflattering, something I noticed at another Ibis property on this trip. Any possible shortcomings of the room are vastly outweighed by all the “plusses” this hotel has to offer, including value. It is clearly well-managed with a strong focus on ensuring a great guest experience. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff are just excellent & so helpful & friendly. Rooms are clean & have all you need for a stay. The hotel is close to Madrid Airport & caters for travellers 24 hours a day. I enjoyed my short over-night stay I would certainly come again when travelling in Madrid.

Tucked off Avenida Logroño, walking distance to numerous bars, cafés, restaurants and the very attractive central plaza of the old town of Barajas. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Metro station of Barajas (town, not airport) about 1km away. Easier and cheaper access to T4, for IB & OneWorld carriers, on bus 187. Bus stop about 2 minutes walk to left out of Ibis front door. 1st bus 05h45. Pay driver, cash or card. We had tapas and dinner at the nearby Bar Albariño, Logroño 126. Excellent!
