One could get breakfast even in Covid times. Luckly the hotel in city center and we could it in bakery close to it. Restaurant and all evening "activities" were closed, too. Rooms in other Ibis hotels (e.g. Warszawa) are larger and nicer. Internet was extremely slow and unstable

Yes, it's Ibis, so the rooms are a bit older and not as fancy as Pullman. The breakfast isn't as large as theirs. The service is better though and did I mention that the price is very good? They offer an unbeatable price/quality ratio!! Like everywhere (covid-reasons) breakfast needs to be booked, which diminishes the holiday feeling a bit - not a fault of the hotel. The location is excellent, parking is abundantly available nearby, the staff is friendly (got the impression a bit understaffed though) and helpful. The rooms are a bit cheaply refurbished but everything works as it should. Request a room with a view of the back of the hotel as at 7-8AM a cleaning crew of the city starts vacuuming the sqaure in front of the hotel and the noise travels to the bedroom.

I experienced a bad customer service at checking. For parking you need to deposit 10€ for a key to remove a barrier on a parking place. Did not had cash money and the reception refused to give the key and directed me to a ATM. The ATM was probably only for own bankcards so no money given, not even on creditcard. returned back to reception and explained. Again a discussion about the 10€ deposits. Problem would be to credit the amount when taken on credit card, seemed to be difficult. told them I do not care about €10 just want to park the car and have my room key. She finally accepted this. At check out the next day the reception credit the €10 easy to my credit card. What is the problem? The hotel is outdated and so the rooms. The breakfast room is to small for all people. I will book another hotel next time. Not expected this from Accor.

My room was terrible. The bed had been moved from the Wall so I could not turn off the light without standing up. It was hard to handle my suitcase in the room. At breakfast I missed lactosefree youghurt without sugar. It was the first Ibis Hotel where you had to bring your key to the breakfast toilet.

Hadn't stayed here for 3 or 4 years or so but I was disappointed with the drop in service and facilities. Friendliness of staff was not up to usual standard; no restaurant and bar closes at 10pm; breakfast not up to usual expectations; disappointed with fruit offering and bircher muesli; paid €57/night but would have been prepared to pay €80+ for better service

This was the worst hotel experience in my long travel history. Being the Accorhotel fan I expected to see regular Ibis, but received outdated hotel with all amenities still living somewhere in 70th. Very small room, dirty, broken table, strange lighting system - all was present. The staff is absolutely non-professional, speaks limited English and has no idea about elementary hotel rules. Member status? We don't know. Welcome gift? We don't know. We arrived just one hour before the check-in time, it was ok for us to leave the luggage in the hotel - but we were asked to pay 1 euro per luggage item, despite my Gold member status and the request for early check-in. We were placed in the second building with very strange security system - there was no staff present, it was supposed that you open the door with the key card, but as many people came anybody was able to come. Breakfast not tasty and to see the note on the table "Don't take anything with you' reminded me old socialist times. There are a lot of hotels nearby, try to avoid this hotel.

If you don't have an accor member, this hotel is in a good location, good price point, clean and worth considering. If you are a member avoid this property. I'm a platinum member and had a very disappointing stay. I received non of the complimentary perks that this membership tier provides, I didn't even get the complimentary bottle of water. I also found the reception staff member who checked me in to be very brusque and unhelpful.

Reception personnel was not willing to speak English. Fortunately, I remembered a couple of words from my early years. Also, similar situation in breakfast. By the way, bus drivers speak only Polish...what a nightmare!

The hotel is sitting in the city center, you have easy access to shopping but the hotel is getting dated. The room are reasonably clean, but there's bad smell at times, probably because not both buildings of the hotel are open all year long. Mean one of the building could have nobody staying for a period of time.

The room was a double (twin beds) used like a single. Very silent and well organized in every part, from bathroom to windows. Mine was at nineth floor so it was far from any noise coming from the ground...However any noise from the corridor... The hotel is really big Good experience!

This place is causing Accor and Ibis brand damage. I have not come across an Accor hotel like this and it is not the fault of either the staff or the shift manager. It is a problem for the top management and their seemingly silly ways. How is it possible that you leave the reception at night time without English speaking frontline staff? There were just two people during our stay, who we spoke to from your reception staff who left us with a positive impression during our stay: Big thanks to Melanie, who fluently spoke English and who was excellent. She tried to help us out in any way possible. She came through as a kind, professional and most helpful person who was someone who saved faith with her positive "can do" attitude. She is one of the best of your team. The other big thanks goes to Ramy. We met Ramy at our arrival. He tried very hard to help us and he also tried very hard to understand what exactly I told him. He was very friendly and professional and he could not turn to anyone else for help and support with the language. With no support he achieved more than most could have, he checked us in while managing to get the information through. Also thanks to two of your teams who we met just briefly at checkout: Natalie and Jana, her shift manager. They were very good and tried to fix some of the damage to your reputation. Now the things that need to improve: English: How is it possible that a frontline staff tells me (in German) that she does not speak English and she didn't understand what I was talking about. That was it. Sorry, I don't speak your language. Next please.... I had to ask and rely on another hotel guest (!) to translate to German. Air conditioning: The air conditioning did not work in our room. Apparently on the top floors the old systems can not handle the load. Our room on L10 was melting hot on a hot day. The reason why the old air-conditioning units are struggling? The top management of the hotel apparently made a new cost saving policy that the air conditioning must be turned off while the room is not occupied by the guests, even if the room is allocated for guest arrival. That means the system doesn't just need to keep the temperature low, but instead it has to cool down the room from a hot temperature first. It just doesn't work. It fails. I appreciate it is a budgeting and cost issue, but silly decisions like this do not help the situation. Yes, you can open the windows, BUT there is a lot of noise and light from the surrounding buildings and their air conditioning systems during the night, so no sleep with the windows open. I note that Melanie kindly offered a replacement room, but that had no views and the air conditioner was just as ineffective in it when we tried, so we decided to turn down the kind offer and stayed in our original room. Please fix the air conditioning situation in the hotel. Internet: Internet went down on Saturday evening. We called the reception around 11pm, where the lady who picked up did not speak English. When we asked for someone who spoke English, a man took over the phone. When we told him about the Internet access not working, he said he was from the security team and noone was around from Ibis to help. Wait!....What?! The guy said noone was there at the reception from Ibis to help and the security team tried to take care of the guests?! He said he tried to get something done about the Internet, but chances were low.... Next morning (our checkout day) we still did not have Internet access at 11am. We did not have an ETA for fixing it either. "The company was working on it" we were told. Breakfast with happy flies: We usually decide on the day if we have breakfast at the hotel. We went down the first day. After seeing how happily the flies were eating from the buffet table, we decided not to disturb them. So we left and had breakfast in the city instead. To sum it up, this place doesn't give us the impression it is run well and it is not the fault of your staff on the ground or their shift managers. I would suggest to seriously consider promoting someone like Melanie to help sorting out the place.

A hotel from the communist period, which is well renovated, but there are still plenty of places for improvement, especially in terms of service. Too big a hotel for my taste. The hotel is in a good position, between the railway station and the city center surrounded by shopping centers. I have not been offered a quick check-in and quick check-out service despite being a member of the loyalty program. Also, unlike all Ibis hotels where I was the only one in this I did not receive an email account after leaving it.

Dresden Ibis Zentrum is ideally located if one is arriving or departing Dresden by train - it is only a five or so minute walk straight opposite the station main entrance. The room was spacious and comfortable, with air conditioning which could be adjusted. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet. Breakfast was a substantial offering with something to please all tastes. The staff was efficient and welcoming. The attractions of the city were an easy walk away.
