This is the standard which every other 5 star or plus hotel needs to aspire to. I always leave balances reviews. Which by its very nature means also finding negatives. I’ll be honest. I can’t find any. The best check in service I have ever had. All staff are exemplary. The door guys are friendly. Happy. Helpful. The club lounge team especially Anh and Xang were exceptional. Manager George is a credit. Nothing is too much trouble. The pool guys also superb. The rooms are perfection. They are expertly serviced morning and night. The rooms are superbly appointed and have a separate work space which I needed. You absolutely must try the in hotel Vietnamese restaurant. The food is unlike anything else I have had and I have been fortunate enough to eat at The Palm Atlantis. The pool area is beautiful. The only negative? Perhaps the lift takes a little too long to arrive. Honestly. That’s all I have! Well done. This is the top standard.

Living in Hanoi, this is simply the best in town. It's worth visiting the city for the hotel alone. The service is what sets it apart. Warm and wonderful staff who genuinely want to look after their guests. I have travelled world wide and fortunately staying at the very best hotels, but nowhere does service with such genuine warmth as the Metropole. Dine at Le Club or in Le Beaulieu and each will be charming. But then so too is the Spices Garden, wonderful cocktails in Angelina and of course a Charlie Chaplin by the pool or in the bamboo bar. I called this my 'happy place': quite exceptional.

I can't believe I have never written a review of the Sofitel Metropole before, as I have been staying there at least once a year (except for the pandemic!) for the past >15 years! I always love staying at the hotel. Although I go for business, I feel like I'm on vacation as soon as I walk through the doors each day. The hotel is beautiful and whether I am in a standard room or get upgraded as I did on this last trip, I always feel well cared for by staff, the rooms are beautiful and well-mainted with comfy beds, great showers and bathtubs. Good space to work as well. When I stayed in February 2023, I ended up in the hospital and the staff were very concerned and really helped me when I returned, making sure sure I was ok and providing me with whatever I needed to recover. This time I was upgraded to the concierge floor and was even more pampered (not quite my life at home!). The breakfasts are amazing whichever venue you use, food and drinks are varied and excellent, and the bar near the pool is probably my favorite in the world...and have traveled to many, many countries. I highly recommed the hotel on all counts! Even if you just go for one night or for the bar, it will be worth it!

A very classy, comfortable oasis. The location is perfect for tourism or business. A few good restaurants (and a good wine list), a nice pool, great service. I think there are pros and cons of the heritage wing vs. the new wing, but both are great

What a treat! All perfect! Flawless service! Extremely attentive to my needs and requests. Anticipative and accommodative. I fell pampered! Best service in Asia so far and I am travelling a lot. They are not o ly friendly and caring but they are very efficient! They made my stay this weekend one of my best hotel experiences! Congrats! I fell home. Special thanks to Lyn for the private visit, to the Front Office Manager for handling so efficiently my glitches (with reservation system, not with hotel), thanks to all anonymous who made me feel home, especially the butlers and the lady in the executive lounge. But also the bellboys, always smiling with true smile coming from the heart! All were perfect! Congrats for having such a good team!
