A very positive stopover

The proximity of this hotel to the station made it an excellent stopover on a rail journey. My room was spotless, stylishly decorated and appeared to have been recently refurbished. Breakfast was good and varied. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I left my iPad in the room on check out and particularly commend the room maid who handed in and the duty manager who so efficiently arranged to courier it to my next hotel.

Stopped here on way to Paris. Great choice. Very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Pity we were not spending longer here.

This is ideal for an overnight stay in Chambery. It is well located right opposite the railway station. It has its own secure underground carpark which is directly accessible from the hotel. The many restaurants in the town are a short walk away. My room was comfortable and spacious enough for one or two. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had breakfast which was buffet style. There was plenty of choice and the food was constantly being replenished.

Good solution for short stays

The hotel is located in the city centre opposite the train station. It is a rather dated building that could do with some attention, both because it is part of the Mercure chain and because the room prices would warrant it. The positive aspects are the convenience of the car park, the location and the very courteous and attentive staff. A good solution for short stays, especially if you are just passing through.
