Always a lovely stay at the Ibis New Street. Welcoming staff, clean and a fabulous breakfast.. with Raju on hand keeping everything topped up and all your breakfast needs met. He is an asset to the team. It can get a little warm in the summer months as there is no AC in the rooms but a table top fan is provided which is of some benefit.

Raju was a polite, pleasant and helpful person. The breakfast had variety of options. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a center which makes traveling and shopping easier. The rooms are clean and big and the bathroom is modern ....

Made to feel very welcome when picking up key cards. Room basic but clean. Good nights sleep. Very quiet room. Good breakfast, breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Able to leave bags after checkout to pick up later, again staff couldn’t be more helpful.

First impressions of the foyer were good, it was modern had a nice little bar and plenty of seating areas. Staff on reception lovely and polite/ helpful. Meeting room was lovely as were the snacks and pastries provided, lunch was in the dining area and there were sandwiches as well as hot food I tried an assortment and could not fault the food at all. Checked in in the afternoon and allocated a room on the first floor, there was an odd smell in the corridor when you left the lift like stale food and the smell got no better in the room it had a smell some described as rotting fish but thank goodness that was not the case in my room which just had a smell you couldn't describe which was not pleasant. The room appeared clean and the bed and pillows comfortable, shower room was compact and I tripped on a step into the room which was not obvious at first. A few of us met in the bar area and it was so hot and stuffy we asked if the heating was on and followed with a negative we asked could air con be put on......this did not appear to happen. I did not try the breakfast so cannot comment but there was a lot of choice. Had I had to pay for the hotel I would have been disappointed as it seems stuck in a time gone by and in need of Alex Polizzi doing her magic.
