I have recently stayed in the hotel and like others mention it has benefits being close to the airport. As others have mentioned the lift in the hotel does not work, and during my stay I never saw anyone put a sign up which I saw increased frustration of other guests. I suspected as well that the travel is used to temporary house people. As a solo traveller, I felt slightly uneasy about the situation. There was security called to one of the rooms as I passed and although nothing specific happened to me, I was not completely relaxed during my stay.

This hotel has in my opinion for the money you pay everything you wish for. It is just on the outskirts of the city centre but there's a busstop (5 min walk) that will bring you straight into the city centre. The room was big and spacious and I was able to a good bit of work in my room the hotel even supllied me with a proper desk chair to make it more comfortable. There's a bar and a restaurant with good breakfast. Very friendly and helpfull staff. I will definitely return to this hotel.

This was my fourth trip to Europe, and unfortunately, Mercure Hotel Amsterdam West gave me the worst hospitality experience I’ve had so far. The staff were shockingly rude—dismissive, unhelpful, and at times outright unfriendly. From check-in to basic requests, it felt like we were bothering them just by existing. I’ve stayed in dozens of hotels across the continent, and this was the first time I genuinely felt unwelcome. You should be talking to your guests about hospitality, not security. I wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend others too either

Mediocre budget hotel, poorly positioned, not good for travelling to city centre, €25 to use car park each day, would not recommend or use again, windows dirty, 1st room flooded had to move rooms, very basic rooms, staff friendly although it took 8 hours to deal with flooded bathroom, ok if driving through and need a bed for the night.
