Very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend. We had a deluxe room which was spacious with attractive contemporary decor. Location was very good - just outside the central ring road so quiet outside but an easy stroll in Vienna’s main attractions. Front desk staff were helpful and efficient. Apron restaurant is superb - see separate review. Two points for improvement: would have been good to have a smart TV (minor point) but more more significant, breakfast arrangements - on our final day there was no space other than an communal table in an adjacent windowless room. For €33 a head this should be better.

Boutique Feel

This hotel is not in the main walking area but slightly outside the “town centre”. It is about a 15 min walk. There is a Big Bus Tour stop across the major road. The location is ideal for most venues and taxis are often outside the hotel as there is a major Theatre around the corner. We really enjoyed the small boutique feel of the hotel. The staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable, clean and have all the amenities. Comfortable pillows and we had twin beds which were ideal for my daughter and I. We ate dinner at the bar one night and it was very good. Several nights we would come back from the Opera, Ballet and theatre to have a drink in the bar - excellent. As a woman traveller I loved the location, vibe and felt safe walking in the area. I will be staying there again! I thought it was excellent value for money.

My son and I stayed in August. Enjoyed the proximity to State Opera and Belvedere. It was scorching hot at that moment in Vienna and having an a/c in the hotel was a huge relief. Especially thankful to Victoria and Armando for helping us out when we accidentally overstayed a night and got very stressed out about it.

OK if you don't need a sink

We arrived at the hotel at around 8 PM after a long day of traveling. We got to our room and made it an early night with neither of us realizing there was a problem. When we woke up, we realized the sink would not drain. We told the front desk in the morning. We went about our day and when we came back to the hotel, the sink drain still would not work. By this time, the cleaning staff had been in the room, rinsed our coffee cups in the sink that had old soapy water in it and left it still backed up. We called to the front desk and a woman came and looked at it, she sent the front desk clerk to look at it and he couldn't fix it, either. This is the only sink in the room, so washing hands, brushing teeth,etc was not an easy task. They said they couldn't move us to another room because they were fully booked, even though I went on their website and another booking site that showed availability that very night. We were then chastised for not telling them on Friday night that it wasn't working. We were offered 2 free drinks for the inconvenience and when I pointed out that wasn't adequate, we were offered free parking as well. The next morning when we checked out, we were also offered free breakfast. To me, a hotel should offer a comfortable place to sleep and a functional bathroom. They fell short on 50% of that

Visually pleasing but it ends there

The staff were standoffish and somewhat rude on check in. The room looked fancy but that’s where it ended. The bathroom door would not close properly, the bed was not secured to the headboard so when trying to read in bed, the bed would slide away from the wall. I assumed when they cleaned the room they would bring clean cups but instead just rinsed out the old cup and turned it upside down as if it was clean. I know this because the honey I split down the side was still there! For the cost, it was a total let down. I gave an extra star because the mattress was comfortable and the location is fairly decent.
