We enjoyed our 3 night stay here.The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Amsterdam, so nice and quiet. Don't let the distance from the city centre put you off as transport links are excellent with trains running every 10 mins or so. Takes around 10 mins to get to the centre. Train station is about a 5 minute walk away from the Hotel. The hotel is modern and stylish, clean and comfy. The only real issue we had is that I booked what I thought was a double double. So, two double beds. Upon check in I was advised that we had a king-size bed and a sofa bed. My son is 6ft 3 and dangled off the edge of the sofa bed. If I had know the double double was a sofa bed I would not have booked the hotel in the first instance. However, we didn't let it bother us but just be aware if you are booking for more than two people. We didn't challenge it as we were told that this was all they had so changes couldn't be made anyway. Overall, a lovely hotel, very relaxed and in a nice area.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Mercure Amsterdam City Hotel and were unfortunately very disappointed with the service. We had booked a Classic Double Room which clearly stated it included a queen bed. Upon arrival, we were told there were no such rooms available and were initially given a room with one single bed for the two of us. When we went back to reception to explain this wasn’t acceptable, we were then offered a room with two single beds, which we were told was the final offer. The attitude from staff was essentially “take it or leave it,” with no apology or attempt to resolve the issue properly. On top of this, the bar staff were rude on multiple occasions — both when we tried to get drinks on our first evening and again the following day when ordering coffees. It felt unwelcoming and uncomfortable. The only positive from our stay was the housekeeping lady, who was genuinely lovely and friendly — a rare bright spot in an otherwise frustrating experience. Overall, the lack of professionalism and poor customer service really overshadowed the stay. We wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

Very professional front desk staffs. Check in and check out were a breeze, all the front desk staffs were always eager to assist visitors in anything. Room was a good size, and the extra bed was ready and neatly made when we got into the room. This professional housekeeping has been a consistent hallmark of the ALL.Com properties during our trip since Brussels, Cologne and Amsterdam.

good day, i was really impressed with the hotel. the staff were so friendly, the breakfast was great and also the bar good. i stayed there for 3 nights and it was really great. yes, it was a bit out of the center of town but with 2 different metro stations near, it was easy to communicate. regards

We stayed here for a birthday trip to Amsterdam. The guy who checked us in was amazing, gave us lots of food recommendations and a map with a full breakdown of where everything was, he also told us how to get to the metro! We then got a free room upgrade to the top floor which had amazing views of the Amstel River. The room had everything we needed, including a fridge, hairdryer, coffee machine, TV (which you could cast to) & and ironing board/iron. The hotel itself is so secure you need your key to use the lifts and enter after a certain time of night. There is also a shop downstairs with drinks/snacks/alcohol for when the restaurant and bar is closed. The metro is a 7 mins walk from the hotel, maps say this is 16 mins but it’s a lot shorter walk if you’re a quick walker. The hotel is so quiet and clean, the staff are so friendly and the cleaning staff are so helpful. We had a great stay and will 100% stay at a Mercure again!
