Perfect location Clean rooms Courteous staff Opt in for breakfast during checking to save some €€€. If you opt in before 12 midnight for the next day is €3 cheaper Large rooms, enough space for two people Decent size washrooms Go for it without second thoughts..

Dirty, Noisy, Arrogant Staff

Location is super good, right at the heart of the action. That is this hotel’s saving grace. Otherwise the worse IBIS experience I ever had. Would totally put me off the IBIS brand. First assigned room had a terrible excrement smell. Hotel still had some 10 rooms empty so they switched rooms no questions asked. Paper thin walls means you can hear the other people in other rooms and in corridor just as if you are part of the action. No tea and coffee facilities in room. Basic thin and harsh towels. Zero minutes grace for a free late checkout. On the positive a decent buffet breakfast.

FD guy not at counter. chit-chating in room. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Room booked by my son. an Accor good member. We had to ASK the guy for welcome drink. No coffee in the room - again had to ASK. No bottled water. Second day, wanted to charge 6EUR for water. FD staff at Ibisoff Grand Place Brussels are really poor. Bad attitude or badly trained Contrast with the great Ibis FD staff at Ibis Paris Rue Lafayette (Merriam).

Great hotel in the heart of downtown Brussels

We just returned home from a Brussels mission trip with our church where we stayed for seven nights in the Ibis Hotel off Grand Place. The location of the hotel is fantastic...close to Grand Place, the Brussels Central Station, a great waffle shop, and many streets to explore great food, shopping and Belgian beers. The rooms were more than adequate for our stay. The pillows were fantastic. The bed was comfortable and firm. Bathroom and shower were all we needed. There are no drawers in which to unpack, if desired. We had no AC, but we could open the window and try to sleep with the street noise, which can be quite a bit since it's just off a park with a lot of partying going on at night. So, without an AC and with windows closed to shut out street noise, the rooms got a bit stuffy and warm (yes, even in Brussels). There was no option for just a fan unless you turned on the heat, which defeated the purpose of cooling down the room. The breakfast service was really better than expected with both hot options, along with meats, cheeses, very good breads and croissants and coffee, but after a few days it became routine. All-in-all, I have no reservations about recommending the Ibis when in Brussels AND, prior to moving into this hotel with our group, my wife and I stayed three nights in the Hilton close by and for the money, the Ibis was better.

Additionally, we recognize the importance of a peaceful night's rest. Although our central location is perfect for exploring the city, it can bring the vibrancy of urban life closer to your stay. For future visits, we can offer rooms facing the quieter side of the hotel or provide separate heaters upon request to tailor your room's climate to your preferences. Finally, we are delighted to hear that you found our location to be fantastic, with easy access to Grand Place, Brussels Central Station, and local delights such as waffles and Belgian beers. Bring your own towels!

Given that this stay was very expensive it was outrageous that (1) no towels were provided in the room, and (2) no kettle was provided. I went to reception and was given 4 face flannels and 1 hand towel. I was told that my standard room did not have a kettle and that I would have had to book an Executive room to get a kettle. Hilariously, the hotel advertises on booking.com showing a picture of a bathroom with towels.
