Bring your own towels!

Given that this stay was very expensive it was outrageous that (1) no towels were provided in the room, and (2) no kettle was provided. I went to reception and was given 4 face flannels and 1 hand towel. I was told that my standard room did not have a kettle and that I would have had to book an Executive room to get a kettle. Hilariously, the hotel advertises on booking.com showing a picture of a bathroom with towels.

However, it seems there was a misunderstanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience this caused. Fresh towels are always available upon request at the reception. In relation to the kettle, these are indeed provided only in our premium rooms. We understand the convenience a kettle can bring, and we are sorry for any confusion caused by the room amenities listed. The location of the hotel is really excellent. Close to the Grand Palace, close to the train station, lots of dining options and fun shops. The hotel itself is definitely a budget hotel. Our room was missing 80% of the towels (hand towels, bath maths) upon arrival and had a persistent sewage smell in the bathroom that required a self- purchased air freshener to tolerate being in there. The hotel staff were not particularly helpful (except for the bar staff, who we really enjoyed). I did appreciate the rooms having air conditioning for the hot summer days.

Location, location, location! And that’s about it. The rooms were fairly small but we had a good view of Grasmarkt. The bathroom was small and toilet was oddly placed that your knees or head would be touching the wall. The hotel is walking distance to several points of interests and the central station. But amenities were subpar…towels were super thin 😬. No safes or fridge in the room either.

Excellent customer service. We were unable to travel at last minute and the hotel went above and beyond to sort out our reservation. Both management and front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. Looking forward to booking in the future. Great location and staff.

Hotel is basic but location makes up for it all

As all the other reviews have mentioned, the location of this hotel makes up for everything it’s lacking. It’s not a bad hotel, but you should have the right expectations. The rooms are very small, basically just fits your bed. No fridge, no kettle/tea/coffee. Also the carpet is very dated. Another thing we noticed was the daily make up/ clean up of the room was very inconsistent. Some days the bed was made, some was not. Some days we got new towels, some days had no towels at all. They also don’t give you new cups etc. Again, the location is phenomenal and for that I would stay here again if in Brussels.
