Overpriced and issues

Friendly and clean hotel. Very comfy beds. Pillows a bit hard. One towel was dirty and it took 20mins and 2 calls for someone to come to change it. Despite Gold status they wanted 4,50 Euro for a water bottle! Sweets in the reception area for free. Beautiful Christmas tree. Sights within walking distance. Train station 5mins away. But 169 Euro for one night (Saturday-Sunday) are too much for an Ibis and should include the breakfast. But the breakfast here costs 15 Euro extra per person.

A Return Visit

A return visit to the Ibis Marschiator after a few years away and good to see it's still a great place to stay and is still great value for money. Location is about a 5-10 minute walk from the train station and only around 10 minutes from the city centre (dom, markt, etc). The rooms are very clean though basic and are also quiet - we've never experienced any noise or issues during our stays here. The hotel serves a buffet style breakfast. which isn't too bad value for the price, but the breakfast area can become a little crowded and busy when the hotel is full, as it was during our visit in in December. The hotel also has a small bar area with a decent range of drinks and prices are reasonable and not overpriced like so many hotels. The staff are always helpful and friendly and if I have anything I'd change then it would be to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room (but I appreciate this is a budget hotel). Other than that, it's a great place to stay for a few days and as ever with Ibis, great value too. We'll certainly book again next time we visit Aachen
